The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

Mark Smith did a very balanced, layered telling of the story of this amazing woman and her family who run the business she built. This is not a thinly-veiled commercial by any means. But you just might find yourself resolving to eat more fruits and vegetables after you've seen it! I count the subject as a dear friend so I can say that, at the same time, I am biased but also that I know first-hand that the film was a very fair and honest portrayal of this inspiring woman. Over the years I have gotten to know all of the Caplan family women in the film and have been exposed to quite a bit of the business culture. What made it to film rings true, from the inclusive approach Frieda takes to her life and business, to the great respect her family, friends, employees, and professional peers hold for her. Everyone should have a Frieda Caplan in their life. If you don't, do the next best thing and seek out the produce that is her namesake at your local supermarket!
