The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

This is the first time I've written a comment to IMDb so don't accuse me of self-promoting anything. I watched FILTHY and will give it credit for a lot of things. First of all, Jennifer Bass as DANA played the part perfectly. She portrayed an excellently typical ladder-climbing, self-centered, business-suited, ratings-chaser, pantyhosed-cat of an anchor-babe (with a touch of germaphobic syndrome disorder thrown in for fun) who is so driven for an exclusive story that she lets herself get duped into a trap where she gets her cum-uppance through torture both mental and physical. A little revenge in the end polishes off the story. Who doesn't like to see "her kind" done in by any means possible?I mean, get real. What else do you need or are you looking for here? We get to see a bitchy, uptight, power-hungry ultra femme get taken down a notch or twomaybe even three. That does it for me. Admittedly, even I would have liked to see her stripped completely down but then again, (and maybe this is a girl thing) I would have shaved her head as a total humiliation but we all can't have everything we want in a movie.Everybody else played the part required as deviants doing decadent things that deviants do. That is what the film is about. Films of this nature are what they arelow budget, basic raw entertainment. I liked it.

I was so excited to see that my favorite online DVD retailer was offering this so I ordered it right away-and was NOT disappointed! While the film is only about a half hour in length, it still manages to shock and entertain at the same level as "House of 1000 Corpses" or "Last House on The Left". Obviously if the producers had more money, this could have been so much more, but the film was as cheap as the family and that's what makes it work. I found the character "MeatMan" to be quite interesting and intriguing. "MeatMan" is an obvious homage to "Leatherface" from the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" series and the entire scene he is in plays like the dinner table scene in "House/Corpses". Without giving too much away, I think fans of the sleazier end of exploitation cinema would find this quiet enjoyable and at only 30 minutes, you'll be begging for more "MeatMan"!

this "movie" is is made to sound like a great shock film.it is not. i was glad when it's 30 minutes were up. what a waste of a DVD. the FX are shoddy, the plot is lame, and the "shock" elements are amateurish and poorly executed. this may be extreme to horror posers and those that are uninitiated in true shock cinema, but i'm telling you, if you are a fan of truly shocking exploitation cinema (ie: Cannibal Holocaust, Thriller, Men Behind The Sun, etc.) avoid this one. you've been warned. it is even lamer than August Underground Mordum. just my 2 cents.

A creative, succinct, excellent film. While amateurish in spots (due to a low budget and it's being an initial effort), the cast is excellent and the story is one-of-a-kind. It would be well worth any horror fan's time to travel far off the beaten path to see this film.I look forward to what the future holds for Lalino and the rest of his cadre with giddy anticipation. More! Encore!!!
