Kamila Bell This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

Marva-nova Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.

Edwin The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Gordon-11 This film is about a young man who had a very bad birthday despite his horoscope saying otherwise. He sets out to see if other people born on the same day and at the same place share similar stories."Five Star Day" spends a lot of time portraying what happens to several people born on the same day. The events are heart wrenching, and I feel sorry for these people. However, the film is somehow not right, as the characters are not as engaging or enigmatic as hoped. There is not enough love to be a romantic film, and a little distracted as a drama. The debate as to whether star signs are believable or not is rather open ended, leaving the basic premise of "Five Star Day" unanswered. "Five Star Day" is an interesting idea, but it sadly does not fulfill its potential.

missismiggins This had all the makings of a pretty reasonable movie, however, after about 20 minutes into it the lead actor Cam Gigandet becomes so irritating he actually destroys the movie.The plot is a bit thin, the dialogue is even thinner, but thanks to Cam, he completely ruins it all.His ridiculous facial expressions and "cool" hand gestures are pathetic - not to mention the fact that everywhere you see him walking around he appears to have a rather large banana stuffed up where the sun doesn't shine.He seems to think he is something like Brad Pitt, but couldn't pull it off - totally ruined the entire middle of the road movie for me. sorry, but that is my opinion.

hemril Let's be honest here.When I read a book, I give it about 50 pages to convince to get to the last page.It is the same for movies. About 20 minutes. I have no problem whatsoever walking out of a movie theatre. But, it does not happen very often. But in this case it did.The main character is played by an actor who comes across as lazy, pretentious and completely self absorbed.The directing, filming and editing looked like they were done with no purpose.And, most of all, the storyline and the initial sequences had no credibility.Before this film was made, there should have been some rewriting, and in the pre-production stage, the casting of the main character should have been made more carefully.

VirtualSurf I have been dying to see Five Star Day ever since Cam signed on in Fall 2008. I finally could see it. On Cam's birthday, his horoscope predicts a 5 Star Day. But it turns out that everything that can go wrong does go wrong. He loses his job, his girl friend, his car, and his apartment.So he embarks on a journey to interview 3 other people who were born at the same time, date, and place as him, to disprove astrology and to do a presentation for his college class. On his journey, he learns about friendship, life, and love. He gets drunk and high. He does good deeds to help people out, saves life and even finds love. It is a small yet so beautiful movie. Indeed the most beautiful movie I ever seen, just because I can see Cam all the time. Cam is so beautiful, charming, sweet, and adorable.
