In the distant future, Flashback Films has been taken over by a sinister soda company, and the state of the movie industry is wilder than ever! Robots are replacing the studio's workforce, and Time Travel is on the cutting edge of moviemaking technology. Jack Taylor, the back lot's last human janitor, plunges the studio into chaos in order to steal a date with starlet Tiffany Sloane. To fix his mistakes, Jack commandeers the studio's prop-collecting time machine and ends up at the center of an explosive corporate conspiracy. Science fiction adventure meets Hollywood satire in this action-packed comedy as jack and Tiffany escape the clutches of furious studio executives, gun-toting reporters, an angry velociraptor, and an entire army of robots. With danger and hilarity around every corner, it's gonna take one hell of a janitor to clean up this mess!

BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
Manthast Absolutely amazing
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Kayden This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
robin-09 Flashback is part sci-fi and part stage play. The reason I say stage play is technical; it's all "blue- screen" and the acting is that exaggerated style common in early silent movies. However, here the lead actors will break out into song. I hope instead of spoiling the moment this hint will compel you to dive in and be entertained. The stated storyline is okay but it doesn't set up the film as well as it could. Think "Rocky Horror Picture Show", but with the satire directed at Big Movie, Inc. money men, producers, squashing the little guy under their $1000 loafers. And the posse that Mr. Big requires is right there with pad & pen.So, if nothing else this should be your afternoon, eating ice cream out of the bucket guilty pleasure movie. It's not perfect but it doesn't have to be.I would buy the DVD, but in fairness rent it first; safer that way.
foster-am It is unfortunate that common courtesy at the theater is to turn off your phone. This movie demands a phone be in hand with fingers prompted on speed dial for emergency medical treatment. Flashback is DROP DEAD HILARIOUS. From dialog, to set, to actor's expressions, it is a non-stop chore to catch your breath from laughing so hard. The plot is brilliant.I am looking forward to a DVD release. At that time, I will put the disk in and glue the drive door shut. I can watch this movie over and over and be a happy man. It is a toss up as to which was more cleverly created, the dialog or the setting. They work hand in hand along with a great soundtrack. It is certain that this will be a timeless classic.
Maryalice Phillips Ralston This film is a super creative ride through a possible Hollywood future that pokes fun at the movie-making industry of today while introducing us to amusing characters and tons of hilarious film references. If you like Star Wars, you'll especially enjoy character Rufus Lucas (George's great-great- grandson, or something like that) who speaks in nothing but Star Wars quotes! There's even an exciting light saber battle amid the flying cars. It's quite awesome. The effects are especially amazing when you realize this film was made by three creative guys with no budget using green screens and computers in their garage. Incredible! It really does have a little something for everyone, from theme-park fun to a budding romance to a dinosaur chase. Some parts will probably be a bit scary for the youngest kids (and a lot of the humor will fly right over their heads), but overall it's safe for the family. There is a drunk character and a subplot about a sleazy rich guy hoping to seduce the studio starlet, but it's handled with humor and without anything remotely graphic. And I especially enjoy the acting of the corporate executive character Lamar as he's pushed further and further to the edge of sanity. The film is a visual delight, and a wild ride. There's even a full-blown, large-scale, and well-done musical number thrown in for extra Hollywood style. If you get the DVD, you'll probably want to watch the film more than once and pause it frequently to check out all the hilarious film parody posters sprinkled throughout the futuristic movie studio. Creative and clever, Flashback is a film you'll definitely want to see and share! :)
Daniella Koontz I was recently invited to the private screening/premier of Flashback. Three guys got together one day and decided to do a movie shot entirely on blue screens. Since they first created the idea Will, John, and Brendan graduated high school, completed college, and stayed true to their vision over the 6+ years that they spent creating their vision. Flashback is a great indie film, with a comedic sci-fi presence, comedic characters, janitorial robots, and a budding romance! So if you are in a mood to enjoy some good grassroots comedy about the "Hollywoood film industry" and where it is heading, you'll enjoy this movie.
