One of the best films i have seen

n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

With an eye popping cast of talent you get a bowl full of cheese, replete with what are surreal, hard to believe moments of laugh out loud unintentionally painfully funny dialog and flashbacks of characters ready to wink back at the audience. In short, four adopted bad reputation brothers come back to their childhood home to mourn the death of their mother in a robbery, but later appears that it might have been the result of foul play.I knew this was headed for trouble when the film had a soap-opera like appearance. Four adopted brothers talk about their momsy moms in a bizarre, unrealistic and painfully funny fashion. There are no rules on what appears the entire time to be an isolated staged set. Did they run out of money for extras? It looked like a staged show you'd see on Broadway. Streets with no people, car chases with no one else on the road, outdoor scenes with no one in the vicinity except for "the local kids" who have a speaking part. It's bizarre.Nothing in this film makes much sense. Don't believe the highly rated reviews. They are either paid shills or have painfully low expectations. I happen to like a good number of Wahlberg's films, think Andre 3000 is a fantastic talent and the villain is an Oscar winning actor and major talent. It's all wasted on a script that is so poorly written that you must blame the writers, director and these guys' agent for doing this rubbish. This has to be a payback film for something. The explanation as to why the events in this film took place are loose - at best. They include every cliche in the book, good cop bad cop, hot blooded latina girlfriend,, a Wahlberg who can pull out his gun seemingly at every turn and somehow NEVER gets reported to the police or seriously threatened by anyone else in what is supposed to be a rough Detroit neighborhood. To say this movie was unrealistic is an understatement. It really looks, feels and acts like a stage play.Flashbacks of scenes with moms are painfully funny. All these tough guys reduced to tears, visions of moms moms. I don't know who drew it up on paper but it had us rolling with laughter each time they pulled that sideshow. And it goes through the entire movie in such a fashion. I won't ruin the ending for you but will say that, it too, has the kind of Hollywood ending where you just have to laugh at how poorly and beyond loose it is. What occurs could only happen in a movie because it was written that way. The movement of characters is also painfully choreographed. Nothing feels natural because it isn't. This is one of the most painful wastes of an excellent cast I've seen. Don't say you weren't warned that this is nowhere near the inflated 7 star rating this film has at the moment. So disappointed.

I went all the way from dimension 125f where there was a beautiful movie, called two brothers. I watched the hell out of it, it was amazing. Then, I went to dimension 125f.001, where there was a movie called Three brothers. Not as great as two brothers, but it was decent. Now, I go to dimension 46'\\\, and I was greeted with this piece of horrible human garbage, Four brothers. Five of my 236 hearts had a heart attack because of this movie! This movie is the absolute worst, and I will make sure on my diamond grave that the words carved on it will be "Four brothers sucked". I almost wanted to commit suicide because of this terrible movie and make the green blood splatter across the carpet.

I cannot for the life of me figure out just why I haven't reviewed this yet. But here goes.I've always loved this movie. I think I really wanted to watch it when I did is because I had a huge crush on Garrett Hedlund when I was in high school. So I was determined to watch everything he was in. Anyway, you have four adopted brothers Bobby (Mark Wahlberg), Jeremiah (Andre Benjamin), Angel (Tyrese), and Jack (Garrett Hedlund) who return home after the mysterious death of their mother. Now when I say mysterious, it was cold blood but we just don't know why exactly they killed her. We meet them though Officer Green's (Terrence Howard) description of them to his new partner. It turns out they each have some sort of negative connotation but who cares? lolThe story: The story is elaborate and can get a bit confusing. Even to this day I find myself always trying to pay close attention to figure out just what the problem Victor Sweet had with Evelyn Mercer. I always know that it has something to do with her being nosy about what Jeremiah was doing and getting mixed up in, but some things can get a bit muddled and I think the initial story is a bit overshadowed by the violence/action. Especially once it is revealed that the new cop Fowler is involved. Which those things aren't bad, it just doesn't particularly help the plot, in fact, it kind of obscures it. You just have to really pay attention, the story plays out but you have to make sure you're listening and watching. The Acting/Characters: I think they all did a great job. I think the casting was wonderfully done. The main four had great chemistry and I liked the idea of having a mixed family of black and white brothers especially since they all were bad ass. Bobby was a great character, the eldest brother who seemed to have the most issues. Jeremiah was secretive but not very discreet, Angel... the soldier, brash and Jack, the sensitive rock star baby of the family. The actors portrayed their characters very well. I thought the relationships were fleshed out well. I mean, say what you want about the story but these four were the heart and when Jack dies... (I cry always), it really makes them rethink what they're doing. I loved these four so much, when I first saw the movie, being the writer that I am, I wrote a back story to each one. We don't know really anything about their past, the moment when they have flashback memories at the dinner table was a great scene. That is when we can see how three of the four brothers remember their mother and Jack's moment with her is most compelling (even compared to Bobby's scene at the end of the movie).Overall: I've always loved this movie. The action is great, the humor is funny, the characters are likable and unlikable if supposed to be, the acting is good, the soundtrack is freaking AH-MAZ-ING and it's worth a watch.
