Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

Slap-stick meets action is this watchable Lau flick. Certainly not his best, but Lau fans will be happy to him in a role that in many ways parallels a triad Tom Hanks "Big" character trying to make "good".The premise is well build and begins with the typical "wrong guy" story-line that is enough to capture one's attention until almost half way, when the story-line falls apart for the remainder of the story, which is held together by comical intervals and unlikely, but somewhat entertaining scenarios.Although this one may find a hard time reaching its way to the States (simply because it isn't that great), those looking for an introduction to Lau's work should look elsewhere.
