Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Phillida Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
keepmissingme Where's the money ? Where's the money ?? That's all you can really hear through out the movie. It starts off well and then its a nose dive. I would never recommend this movie to anyone. I can't believe Vidya Balan decided to do this movie. There are just a few funny moments. Well you cant really call them funny. I love both Emraan Hashmi and Vidya but I will think twice before watching their movie again. Waste of time and money. Very poor direction, screenplay. A few dialogues were good and funny but other than that an embarrassment. Hope Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan learn from their mistakes and think twice before signing up even if your husband is producing the film.
silvan-desouza Even though the film is hardly more then 2 hours, yet it seems lengthy. Rajkumar Gupta after the superb riveting Aamir(2008) and No One Killed Jessica(2010) tries to change tracks and make a caper kinda comic thriller film. The film has a good premise and starts off well, Emraan and Vidya's banter is well handled, the bank robbery too is well handled and then the going-ons get entertaining when the 2 enter their house to find out where is the money, The film slowly starts wearing out as it does get predictable, yet it startles you when the fingers point towards different directions, The climax though hatke may not appeal to all yet it works wellDirection by Rajkumar Gupta is good Writing is a bit flawed Music is okay Emraan Hashmi has grown a lot since his Aashiq Banaya days and yet again he proves he is a fantastic performer, he handles his role superbly Vidya Balan who gets a comic role does a superb job Rajesh Sharma and Namit Das are superb in their roles Pravin Dabas has 1 scene
Tejas Nair Ten minutes into screenplay, you are annoyed with Vidya Balan's diction. Thirty minutes into screenplay, you are blown away by the script. Suspense mounts, and you want to finish the remaining 90 minutes in a flash. That is how Ghanchakkar gathers its viewers.Emraan Hashmi is great with his portrayal while Vidya Balan troubled me a little. Her demeanor looked over-smart. The supporting cast is average, most of the time trying & failing to make us laugh. But, the plot is enough to keep us hooked. It seems illogical at first and you may start guessing hell of a lot of ideas on what happened & what happens next, but the epiphany is truly enduring & clever. With a slow-paced second half, it makes us yawn for a while, but the climax will blow it off. The makers have meticulously written the play and that is why it is recommended. 6.5/10.Music & songs are average, editing is good & overall, quite a funny film which doesn't use large amounts of vulgarity.BOTTOM LINE: A comic experience that should be considered. Recommended! Can be watched with a typical Indian family? NOProfanity: Strong | Vulgarity/Sex: Mild | Nudity: No | Drugs/Smoking: No | Alcohol: Mild | Violence: Strong | Gore: Mediocre
anupamwww let begun with why we watch movie . we watch for entertainment , for fun and to look for some effort of nobility among others.this movie focus mainly of husband-wife relationship among daily chaos . which i think has covered it well by actors .the villains to done their pat at dark comedy role .so through out the movie their is a comic feeling .. which at end blunts as splashed simple .. either a twist or a simple progression with the usual satire wood have been justified rather then a sudden change from comedy to tragedy .. its a movie where audience laugh all through only to see a tragic . making no-sense unjustified end (such end can not be the end neither it ties the loose strings it put your effort and your laughing meaningless)
