Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Merolliv I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
Celia A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
linkmilan I purchased this movie on youtube, and believe me unable to tolerate it more than 30 min. Worst typical Rohit Shetty movie, just skip it. Better sleep for 2hrs. Will never watch any Golmaal series or Rohit Shetty directed at any cost.
kambinbh-40655 He enviably suffers from a short-term memory loss. By the end of this flick, you wish, so could you. Or maybe you do. But do imagine a film industry screening of this comedy and all celebs in the house, rotfl (rolling on the floor laughing), as it were. It's truly that filmi. And for most parts hardly as funny for all. The cast and crew certainly had a laugh filming it. They even held an extended discussion on the picture Ghajini for us. Great for them. How about telling a story of your own? Well that again, I guess, can be outsourced to '70s Bollywood: Basu Chatterjee's Khatta Meetha (1979), I suppose. Mithunda and his sweetheart once (Ratna Pathak Shah) are single still. Kareena Kapoor plays cupid, and gets them and their families together.Old man fathers three adopted monsters: Ajay Devgn (can't resist cracking people's fingers), Shreyas Talpade (stammers for our pleasure). Old lady likewise mothers another set of aged orphans: Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu (in top form), Tusshar Kapoor (more moronic than mute). The two groups, supremely high on energy, hate each other. Another set of comic villains back the two gangs. Those buffoons have separate stories of their own. The missing link is the movie itself. No one anchors it.Golmaal was a sleeper hit of 2006. Since then, several ensemble comedies (Dhamaal etc), some of them put together by this film's team as well (Sunday, All The Best) have tried to repeat the run. Golmaal 2 (second- rate stuff) apparently raked in big bucks. Such success can boost anyone's over-confidence. Which explains this turd part.
kanujbhatnagar The review summary says it all... it was on one of the entertainment channels. Saw a few minutes of it, and it was terrible. What I could not get was why every actor in the movie had to do a promo scene standing on top of a car... by the way, Ajay Devgun did one standing on two. And why not... he's apparently the lead in the movie, he does deserve to be standing on more than one.I realize this is *supposed* to be a comedy, but I found it few and far between.Senseless, atrocious movie made just for the heck of it. Might please the rickshaw pullers, the main audience this drivel was made for.
Avinash Patalay The good thing about "Golmaal" is its evolution into a franchise (an idea started in Bollywood by the "Munnabhai" series). The not so good thing is with every outing the plot and the audience is taken for granted which clearly signifies the makers are getting lazier with eyes sets only on the cash registers. With regards to the plot, its essentially Basu Chatterjeet's "Khatta- Meetha" glitter wrapped. While the original had a soul and a story to tell "G3" is an insult to be even compared. Gags? The entire team are oblivious to the superior content that is delivered on telly in the form of serials and comedy reality. "G3" is lame.Ө Mithun:: The comedy he was made to do was appalling. His fan-base would cry foul. The least the makers could have done is to acquire rights of Mithun-da's classic to incorporate them. Making a 63-year old portray college-romance was awful!Ө Ratna Pathak:: A sleep-walking role straight out of Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai.Ө Tushar Kapoor:: Overdose to the extent he gets on your nerves and makes you hide your ears. Ө Johnny Lever:: C'mon, there could have been a better writing for this "Bhooola" and his two side-kicks.Ө Arshad Warsi:: Okay'ish.Ө Kareena:: Doesn't suit the tomboy role. Bipasha or Lara perhaps?Ө Ajay Devgan:: Nothing worthy to mention about.Rohit please, either terminate the series or pull up your socks! The sole reason "G3" scurried away with a hit tag was because it was less awful than its alongside release "Action Replay".
