Myron Clemons
A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

Solveig Melkeraaen uses herself to all extent in this documentary, which tells about her life story since she was a promising short film maker, until she struggles with depression, suicide thoughts, and goes through electric shock therapy. Her deep and serious depression is the main theme, and we see her asking questions to her family and friends, as well as follow her treatment, even having electrical shock therapy. The film has got quite a lot of critical acclaim in Norway. One could from this expect this to bad a sad or even tragic film, but the film both is funny and very explaining and hopeful. The film is very self delivering, and as such quite unique when it comes to psychological depression issues.I found the film interesting, and well made about a difficult subject. A daring and interesting project.
