A young lonely disabled boy learns to stick up for himself and his friends through his unorthodox mentor: a familiar yet peculiar face; that of an alien he rescued in his youth who came to him again after a desperate plea. He must save the alien, Grubbo (Tobey Maguire), once again from his nemesis Dr. Eyepatch and his cronies of evil.
