If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

I've being working in the film industry for several years and this film doesn't look bad at all, especially considering the budget they claim to have spent. When it comes to horror movies, I think the two most crucial elements are the cinematography, the soundtrack. Actually, sometimes I prefer there to be no music at all but in this case it created a good 80's mood and the main theme got stuck in my head for a few days. The storyline is pretty decent. It's not genuinely creepy on it's own but together with the great cinematography and sound design it does a decent enough job to keep your interest and sell what your seeing unfold on screen. And it's safe to say that this is a very different take on your typical low-budget Halloween/horror movie. I'm not a really big fan of that British accent but the acting was more than decent in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of those guys on mainstream productions one day.

A classic horror film with an unexpected outcomeThe film is centred around a group of delinquent youths living on an estate. Approaching halloween, graffiti tags with warnings appear: "We are coming"
It is clear that the gang introduced to us from the beginning are not responsible for these tags. For the first part of the film, the suspense is built and we also learn of the relationships between different members of the gang. We are also introduced to the two protagonists Darren (Ethan Taylor) and Cassie (Sarah Akokhia) who are brothers and sisters with a troubled but relatable family history. It is touching to see how their relationship changes throughout the course of the film. The film picks up pace half way through and we are thrown into a whirlwind of kidnappings by eery mask-wearing villains. The second half takes place in a creepy abandoned building and the events leading up to the film apex would not be out of place in a video game. The directors obvious passion from the horror genre shines through, as the film is jam packed full of references from classics such as John Carpenter's Halloween. Another highlight was the acting and especially impressive were the youngest members of the cast who were clearly well directed. This accomplished the nail biting tension one would want from a horror, interspersed with moments of light humour and also a gripping plot.

If you're looking for something which feels like it could happen to you - then this is the horror for you! Set in a shabby estate, where youngsters seem to be creating trouble, lies a group of strangers who are trying to teach a lesson. The story shows a true representation of teenagers in the UK, which for once shows the story through their eyes instead of their parents. Race is finally not a barrier and characters from diverse racial backgrounds interact without having to focus nor mention to race related issues; making it in my eyes a very positive forward thinking representation. Characters are well thought, multiple layered, with intricate relationships, which are brought to life by extremely compelling acting throughout, especially the main characters interpreted by Sarah Akokhia and Ethan Taylor. The story is terrifying and the end twist slightly sickening - definitely got me covering my eyes and gripping the seat numerous times.

This movie is an insult to the whole Horror genre. The idea of the whole movie was okay. There could have actually been an okay movie in this. But the script is absolute crap. What is even worse is the directing.I'm supposed to root for the characters, but I just wanted them all to die, so this movie could be over. And they're so dumb. One Person is connected with a zip-tie to a pipe. She manages to get a burning candle, and what does she do - Instead of burning the zip-tie at the side of the pipe, she burns the side where her Hand is.The third act is in one Location. And the supposed to be scary villains, put up pumpkins all over the place. That's not scary that's just stupid.Oh, and the heavy breathing all the time. It's just bad.And of course, we have that moment when she has the chance to pull away one of the masks of the killers. And she slowly, very slowly reaches for it. Everyone knows what's going to happen. Next time, just pull the mask off. Most of the acting is terrible. A better direction would have helped. The movie has some references to good movies, which isn't a bad thing. But they take something good and turn it into something terrible. The last act plays in one building, nothing bad about that fact. The "villains" weren't scary at any time. It was unintentionally funny and most of the time cringe-worthy. Even the intentionally funny moments were cringe-worthy.Sorry, but I can't think of anything good about this movie.I could go on about this movie for a while, but I hope you got an Impression how bad this movie is. Filmmakers, use that as an example how not to do it.
