Blistering performances.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

Jim Wynorski makes movies so guys can see beautiful women naked. That's it. Story, plot, historical accuracy, mood, whatever, doesn't matter; how many great-looking women it has and how often they get naked is the main concern of a Jim Wynorski movie, and this one keeps up that noble tradition (sort of). Kelly LeBrock doesn't really do anything for me--her lips look like they've been injected with most of the world's supply of collagen--and she's never been much of an actress. Even in a low-budget--VERY low-budget--western like this one, she's over her head. However, the other three women, especially gorgeous blonde Kimberly Kelly, almost make the movie bearable. I say "almost" because, once you get past the gratuitous nudity--of which there actually isn't enough, which is astounding for a Wynorski epic--the movie has pretty much nothing to recommend it. Wynorski usually leavens his breaststravaganzas with a healthy dose of humor, but there's little of that to be seen here. Matt McCoy is so hilariously lame in his goofy aping of Clint Eastwood's "Man With No Name" character that at first I thought this movie was going to be a parody, in the vein of "Rustler's Rhapsody"--in the opening gunfight with three competing bounty hunters, you can clearly hear McCoy fire seven shots from his six-shooter--but unfortunately they played it straight, and it doesn't work at all. The acting, as has been mentioned, is for the most part subpar; although villain John Terlesky isn't half bad, McCoy, Ross Hagen as the sheriff and especially Jay Richardson as the chief bad guy are just terrible. The gunfights (I hesitate to say "action") are very poorly handled, the dialogue (can't believe they actually paid somebody to write that bilge) is laughable and there's not enough nudity to make up for its many shortcomings. I guess Wynorski just didn't have his heart in it. I give it four stars--one each for Kimberly Kelly's best assets and one each for Rochelle Swanson's, all four of which are displayed to their best advantage. Other than that, this "western" is pretty much a dud.

as a fan of Jim wynorski films i had to check this out, some will think this is a rip off of the western bad girls but its not.Matt McCoy(hand that rocks the cradle)plays a bounty hunter known as the holy ghost. his flame(Kelly lebrock)is a prostitute at the saloon/brothel.his ex friend(john terlisky)comes into town looking for no good.wynorski regular(jay Richardson)is the crooked land baron.and then there's the sheriff(Ross hagen)who hits the sauce.as westerns go its pretty good. but one of the flaws is they didn't do breast implants back then as you'll see,I'm not complaining.sexy Rochelle Swanson plays one of the prostitutes.character actor George buck flowers plays the barkeep. look for directer Fred Olen ray as a gunslinger.its a fun movie.westerns come a long way since john Wayne and Randolph Scott. Kelly lebrock who was in the women in red and sexy Lisa in weird science is looking good.this was co produced by actor Andrew Stevens.I'm giving hard bounty 8 out of 10,its a good little movie, and a sexy western.

the stupidest, dumbest, ridiculous movie i have ever watched, the only reason i kept watching was to see how bad it could get.how could anybody with any intelligence say it was good or decent or even not bad.the girls in their gunsling outfits were awful.nobody dressed like that in those days.i wonder what kind of mind dreams up stories like that.surely that movie didn't make any money. the title was appropriate. i don't know what else to say about this movie. it's so bad i cant describe it any further. also the acting was terrible. it's hard to get ten lines when all you have is bad comments. maybe the writers should read some new books and get better ideas.

As a western fan I got to watch the censored German version years ago. But I enjoyed it then and I enjoyed the R-rated version which I recently got to watch. Kelly LeBrock is beautiful but with her Eastern accent she seems to be somewhat out of place in the Southwest. Matt McCoy is the tough, silent gunfighter who shoots to kill. The gunfight scenes are well done but the story is full of cliché, with some sex scenes and some nudity thrown in for spice. Well, if you don't expect too much you will be able to enjoy this film. If you expect Kelly LeBrock to bare it all, however, you'll be deeply disappointed. She leaves that to a couple of her female sidekicks. Compared to the tough HBO TV-western "Deadwood", this movie is quite harmless and I don't understand why it received an "R" rating. But if you are into the new kind of western films you really should give it a chance. At a more than reasonable price of a couple of dollars, it's worth the effort anyway. Jasper P. Morgan
