Laikals The greatest movie ever made..!

Myron Clemons A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
Abegail Noëlle While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
hnim Saw this one at Nippon Connection Festival in Frankfurt, Germany in May 2011. I'm always pleasantly surprised by the simple and low-key narration of Japanese films. There were plenty lovely moments in "Here comes the bride" like that dialogue when the guy tells her the story about his grandmother waking up and saying "I wanna meet James Dean" - priceless line. Plus, the whole flashback of the daughter's co-worker harassing her was masterfully acted and directed. Stayed in my mind for a long time. I would compare it to Kenneth Lonergan's "You can count on me", since it appears so ordinary, but is highly affecting. Very rare these days. Looking forward to this year's Nippon Connection and hopefully get surprised again.
