This short film by Marina and Alessio Pierro was inspired by the way that Walerian Borowczyk would project photographs and drawings onto a transparent screen, the dust and and smoke-filled light becoming an almost tangible part of the experience. A 'Himorogi' is a sacred space or altar, and this one pays homage to Borowczyk's visionary cinema.

Nonureva Really Surprised!
Phonearl Good start, but then it gets ruined
Melanie Bouvet The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Lela The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
Michael_Elliott Himorogi (2012) *** (out of 4) Alessio and Marina Pierro made this seventeen-minute short film as a homage to director Walerian Borowczyk whom Marina worked with several times. This film was meant to pay respect to the various visual styles that Borowczyk brought to his movies and for the most part I'd call it a success. If you're looking for some sort of story then you're really not going to find one because this is one of those films were there are just a bunch of images and I personally didn't draw any sort of story from it. It's worth nothing that the movie is exceptionally beautiful to look at as the images are really captured perfectly with the great cinematography. The music score by Borowczyk regular Bernard Parmegiani is also excellent and it turned out to be his final work.
