PlatinumRead Just so...so bad
Ogosmith Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Jerrie It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
Brooklynn There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
Ben Tharin I never felt really bad for the actors when something bad happened to them... the soundtrack sounds like a B-Movie with Dolf Lundgreen. Anyway This movie is spiked with a lot B-Actors who are actually better actors than the average but can't really match up their role. Not even one in there is close to be believed as a mafioso...*** Minor Spoiler*** Not even Vince who is portrayed as a hard mafioso boss (actually the son of the major boss).. he just looks like a normal thug and is not really able to frighten a 6 year old... Actually he looks (and acts) like a normal Italian family father who's into soccer ;). *** Minor Spoiler End***Anyway the movie is OK for an evening to watch, although the story is predictable, (very) hardly believable and the Acting is not really good. So it gets 4 out of 10. Which is average, not more but not less. Watch this if you are done with all the sopranos, godfather, scarface and what not mafioso movies. But if you have the choice take this movie as the last one.
mycatslyone This is really Costos Mandylor's movie. His brother, Louis only has a cameo as a cop. Like I said, hit the edited version of this, if you can. The 'gratuitous' cussing is so unnecessary, it hurts! Synopsis: Good guy Tony (Costos) owns a restaurant & wants to keep his life clean & free of what his father used to do - be mixed up w/the Mob. Tony's got a loving wife & a couple of kids & wants their lives kept clean, too. Should he get into the Witness Protection Program to avoid getting in the middle of a Mob war? Afterall, they killed his father & plenty of other people Tony grew up with. Should he take care of things on his own? You'll have to hit the video store, get this & see for yourself.
jenny-otoury The Gangster film trilogy is complete. Not Only does Hitters have an incredible cats, but a beautiful look (camera work and sets rocked!) and a true representation of FAMILY. I know I have a better relationship with my husband and his family because of this film. It hit so many of those funny little typical moments that we all have experienced and shared with loved ones. HITTERS 2 should be Robert Davi and Costas Madylor in a steel cage. Was that Adult film star Ruby Jewles in the night club? I hear she use to date the Director. She is one of the few actresses I could see crossover to main stream without any problems.
LAreviewer The Mandylor brothers are great in everything they do, but Louis should of had a bigger role like he did in the "Big Fat Greek Wedding", maybe as Tony's brother in "Hitters" duh.... (although Greg Lauren did a good job), Veteran actor Robert Davi lacked the range of tonal color necessary to make his characterization of "Nick" consistently interesting, missing was the edgy tough guy image that we've grown accustom to in his earlier films. Joey De Pinto as "Vince" portrayed an out of control, no-nonsense psychotic killer well, Carol Alt was terrific in her dramatic role as Tony's wife "Marie" but for me, other then Costas and Louis Mandylor, Frank D'Amico played his part best, the crying clown story was hysterical. He should send this film to the makers of "The Sopranos", he's a natural Goodfella. Film wise the movie was good, unfortunately in some parts it was brought down by poor dialogue and needed another trip to the writing block to get a bit more umph to the plot.. In other areas of this presentation, the film work, editing, music and production - were all well above average. I rate this a B+
