SeeQuant Blending excellent reporting and strong storytelling, this is a disturbing film truly stranger than fiction
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Murphy Howard I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Lucia Ayala It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
Tkbn3812 Home Alone 1 is a memorable and classic Christmas film that is very enjoyable to watch. This film, the fifth and final in the Home Alone series, fails to live up to the first film 22 years on.It's hard to quite put my finger on it, but the film is missing something. At first glance it seems to have everything that the first film had; a main character that sets traps to catch dim-witted criminals using plenty of traps. Yet it's hardly a delightful watch, for whatever reason.Don't completely dismiss the film, though. It does try to entertain with a plot that actually develops very well, and comedic elements thrown in to keep the film progressing. However, it lacks that beautiful feel of the first and second films, both of which are very entertaining. It's pointless of me to review this film, since even though I'm sure there's something missing from this film, I can't work out what is. It could in fact be the fact that it offers nothing significant since the first movie, and feels like old material.I can say with 100% confidence that you will not regret skipping this Home Alone movie. Stick with Home Alone 1, and if you have time Home Alone 2 as well.
adonis98-743-186503 Finn Baxter and his family move from California to Maine to their new house. Finn is terrified and believes the house is haunted. While he sets up traps to catch the "ghost", his parents get stranded across town and Finn is home alone with his sister. Their house is targeted by 3 thieves. Home Alone 5 or as it's more known Home Alone: The Holiday Heist is a 2012 TV Movie that i didn't even know that it existed a few years back and how should i put it? It's better than 3 and 4 combined but that doesn't say much it's still a pretty dumb, over the top and unnecessary sequel to 2 of the best Christmas Movies ever made but let me start with the good, this film it's another guilty pleasure for me cause it has stuff that don't make any sense but it's still a funny film mostly for the 3 thieves played by Malcolm McDowell, Eddie Steeples and Debi Mazar i actually laughed with this sequel more than 4 cause 3 had some entertaining and laughable moments, the main kid Finn at first i thought he was some 10 year-old dumb nerd that plays games but as the films progress those games come in hand and he became a bit more of an interesting character but he is no Kevin for me, the sister was on and off for me she had a couple of good moments but only a few she was mostly annoying, the parents were alright, that little kid Mason at first i found him a bit annoying but as the film continued he helped a lot with Finn's plan to take out the thieves but the reason why i like this film more than Home Alone 3 and Home Alone 4 is because this guy called Simon played by Bill Turnbull i really enjoyed the message the film tried to send that a stranger sometimes is not always a bad person because he really helped Finn and the ending of this film reminded me a lot of Home Alone 1 and 2 and that was great. Now as for the negatives there were some over the top moments with Finn's character at first, some things made no sense at all and they even took scenes from the Original film and tried to do something original but it honestly did not work. Overall Home Alone 5 is no masterpiece it's not as good as the first one and the second one but is way better than the third one and the fourth one and i'm gonna give it an 6.5 out of 10.
SnoopyStyle The Baxters move into their new Maine house for the mother's new job with her boss Mr. Carson (Edward Asner). They don't know the house once belonged to a bootlegger with a rumored valuable missing painting. Older daughter Alexis (Jodelle Ferland) don't like the move. Younger son Finn is always playing his video game. He discovers a walk-in safe in the basement and befriends neighbor Mason who warns him that his house is haunted. Sinclair (Malcolm McDowell), Jessica (Debi Mazar) and idiot safecracker Hughes (Eddie Steeples) are thieves looking to sneak in and steal all the valuables. There are lots of great actors especially the bumbling villains. I'm actually surprised but I guess that even Malcolm McDowell needs to eat. The lead kid is not good enough and a little too old for an adorable role. It's not all his fault. There is no comparison to the fun of the original. By the time the iconic home-made traps appear, it becomes a sad copy rather than a fun homage. This movie is completely flat with no actual humor. The great actors can't do much other than collecting paychecks.
Chris A awesome comeback into the Home Alone franchise series. Home Alone: The Holiday Heist was funny and exciting. A good family comedy of 2012. Good performance by Christian Martyn and the entire cast. This one to me was fun to watch for holiday season. I recommend it.The first Home Alone starring Macaulay Culkin following Home Alone 2: Lost in New York w/Macaulay Culkin were the two best Home Alone films in the franchise. Macaulay Culkin putted on a great performance and sparked us all with laughs and everything and more. Also following the sequel Home Alone 3 into the Home Alone franchise starring Alex D. Linz. Home Alone 3 was also funny and hilarious without no regrets. Alex D. Linz was awesome and putted on a great performance he shined straight through. Also following behind Home Alone 3 was another sequel Home Alone 4 starring Mike Weinberg into the Home Alone franchise. Home Alone 4 was a complete fail in many audiences eyes and they didn't enjoy it. I've seen Home Alone 4 many times and I agree it wasn't that funny nor that enjoyable, but it was great seeing Mike Weinberg on screen he has always been a favorite boy actor and he always putted on a good performance.Home Alone: The Holiday Heist on the other hand was a awesome comeback. Christian Martyn shined in this one. Great work by Peter Hewitt, Aaron Ginsburg, Wade McIntyre, and the entire cast and crew.Home Alone: The Holiday Heist is a must watch. Fun for the entire family. If you love the home alone franchise you'll love this one.
