A quiet town is jumpstarted by the arrival of an enigmatic family; a statuesque mother named Louisa and her gorgeous teenage sons. Sixteen Year-Old Hilary is working hard to get good grades, hoping to escape the small town life a long line of relatives lived before her. With the arrival of the mysterious family just weeks before school is to let out, life suddenly becomes appealing. Hilary's father is instantly charmed by Louisa, while she herself finds a strong connection to middle son Kadin, ignoring her dubious instincts. As the town falls under the hypnotic spell of the young men, no one but Hilary sees the peculiar loyalty that holds them together and the lengths they will go to give their mother what she needs until it's far too late.

Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
Salubfoto It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.
Billie Morin This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
Marco Well This is an amazing little horror movie, highly recommended to all the genre fans. For the budget this low, it has turned out great. It is about a quiet town which is overturned by the arrival of a family whose intentions are not clear. I loved it because of its mystery elements, which are backed up by a great story and believable acting. The main character is played by the charismatic Connie Saltzman (for whom I've honestly never heard before), and she did her role fantastically. I wish there are more good movies with her and I will definitely look out for more work from this director.
erin tanaka I'm going to level with you. This film is not without its flaws. But what it lacks in production value it more than makes up for with great casting, clever dialogue, and a well-developed story. Not everything is explained, there's no great backstory, but this is not that type of film. The story we see is enough without having to explain the history of the characters (even though we do get a little of that). What I loved about this quirky B-horror/comedy flick was the electrical chemistry of the cast (seriously, it was so fun watching them hang out), the fun 80's-style music (complete with a cameo from the GoGo's Jane Wiedlin!), and a slow-burn style story that pushes to a solid climax.
nrm-63964 So yes I have many questions after just now finishing this and its the first time I watched a movie I can't just go to Wikipedia and read the full synopsis to see what I am missing so if you're reading this miss director please make a wikipedia page for people like me! So there's a lot to just fall in love with because this movie looks like a fancy indie music video with lots of colors and warmths and everyone like the whole cast literally glows beautifully golden while the "normal" folks are darker haired. Very very good art department and I really loved the chemistry between the son and Hilary (so hot!) I thought at times the girl playing Hilary seemed young and at other times it was like she seemed 30, but in the film she's more like the parent to her dad than him to her. She takes care of him a lot and that really connected with me on a personal note and I think it will with others too. There were so many layers to this. But I have questions and I really really really want answers so I am taking 2 points away as Hilary said to her bestie via FaceTime "Sorryyyy"
txtxyeha Stumbled upon this on Amazon and thought it was a fun, campy movie. Both female leads - especially the one who played the daughter - did a good job. The five sons were all cool, though the oldest looked a littttle old for being in high school. I couldn't decide if the non-twin blonde brother was a cutie or a creepy - actually he probably played the roll perfectly. What I also liked is that I could watch this with my teenager without worrying about covering her eyes (or her trying to cover my eyes). Is this Citizen Kane? No. Is this a fun, scary movie for this time of the year (October)? Sure!
