The greatest movie ever made..!
Catangro
After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.
Asad Almond
A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
Billy Ollie
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

The final version of this film has not been released as of Nov. 26, 2014. Any reviews here are from HOSTAGE or THE DARKENING (overseas title) and NOT the final film ENTITY which I screened. And chances are reviews are based on a torrent and illegal version of the film which is incomplete. From what I understand, the final version of ENTITY will be available to the public early 2015.Onto my thoughts. For one man in a room for 90% of the film, it was captivating and unnervingly suspenseful throughout. A very original take on the subject matter. I also thought the production value was outstanding -- the atmosphere, the editing, the music -- and that Holt Boggs gave a terrific performance.
bob cool
Where to begin. Just horrible. I mean bad bad bad. So a guy experiences weird things in a house (no setup or anything), things get weirder (no suspense or anything though) including it being buried in snow- no way out. Then all of a sudden he's coming to after being exorcised by a priest and a friend. They take him to a hospital in an ambulance. Against the priests advice (they had offered him an apartment above the church), he leaves with his friend and they go back to the house (dont know why), he wont go in, but friend does (with some demon-microphone- recorder. The main guy hears his friend scream, so he takes his dog and leaves. He takes the apartment, calls the priest to come on the pretense his friend is freaking out, then waits for the priest with a knife (while we see flashbacks of him breaking out of his old snowbound house with a sledgehammer). WTF?? I made a move in the fifth grade as a project- it was better than this. Seriously.
