Bardlerx Strictly average movie
SoftInloveRox Horrible, fascist and poorly acted
Matrixiole Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
Murphy Howard I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
jacobjohntaylor1 Why do people not like this movie. It is not a 2. It is a 10. This is a great movie. It is very scary. It has a lot of action. I has great acting. It also has a great story line. It also has great special effects. This is scarier then The Shining. And that is not easy to do. Ona Grauer is a great actress. Uwe Boll is a much better director then people give him credit for. This is one of the best horror films of all time. It is very scary. Uwe Boll is a great director. Jonathan Cherry do such a good job in this movie. Mark A Altman made such an effort. Ever one who worked on this film made such a effort and all people care about is crap like The silence of the lambs or Saw (2004) or Hannibal. This is a very scary movie. And those movie that people think are so scary are not.
DigitalShark1 After watching this movie twice, I can confirm that this movie is 100%... GARBAGE. I'm not even joking when I say that this is absolutely terrible in every way.If you don't know what House of the Dead is, Remember that arcade game you played at Dave and Buster's for maybe 20 minutes before you got bored and played something else? Well, Uwe Boll made a movie out of that. If you don't know who Uwe Boll is, he's the director of this movie and widely considered one of the worst directors out there. He's also known for challenging Critics who didn't like he movies to a boxing match. Anyway, on to "House of the Dead"I'll spoil the plot of the movie for you. There's a island full of zombies, teenagers go to it and die. The End. Every plot-point that happens in the movie, I could see coming from a mile away. It's the most predictable and basic of Horror movies, and it wasn't scary in the slightest. The characters are so annoying and one-dimensional that even is they actors were any good (which they're not), they still wouldn't be able to pull it off. The writing in this film reminds me of how I used to write movies... when I was seven. The music is horrible. It sounds less like music and more like inconsistent noise. Overall, this is a horrible film and one of many horrible films made by Uwe Boll. 2/10
utgard14 Truly terrible zombie movie based off a video game that I've never heard of. It's directed by the 21st century Ed Wood, Uwe Boll. It's an awful movie on virtually every level. Jurgen Prochnow would be one of many 'name' actors that would work for Boll, leaving viewers scratching their heads as to how this terrible filmmaker managed to draw them to his cheap and crappy projects. Blackmail, perhaps. The best thing about this mess is the nude scene of a young Erica Durance. Pre-boob job, however. There's really no quality content here. I did love the Sega product placement. If that doesn't date your movie, I don't know what does.
Francesca Ramayan Good points So bad you can only laugh because it is actually meant to be a serious movie. Bad points The plot - until the last 20 minutes of the film there is no plot, its just random nonsense, the action scene was ridiculously long and boring, am I really expected to believe that a bunch of party goers are skilled weapon users, seriously come on.The Characters/Acting - You get a brief run down of a few characters at the start of the film, during the course of the film that group expands, as people are inevitably killed off, the little to no emotion at the loss of friends.Cinematography - wasn't all bad, but the flashing between action scenes was harsh on the eyes.Writing - Plain old crapOverall - 1 hour and a half of your life you will never get back
