The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

I can't believe I wasted a few hours watching this ridiculous movie. I can not get over how unbelievable the script and story of this movie. The scenes in which they have dinner in silence is so cringe worthy. After the silent dinner, she suddenly has a connection with him? And she goes to his house in the middle of the night. Does she not have any friends? And when we patiently wait for Lisa to unwrap her present from George, I almost fell asleep and then she says to George, "thanks for not rushing me". As if it was a big deal that Matty when he gave her a beautiful watch wanted to help her unwrap the present because she looked like she was struggling. Honestly. Lisa is the most unlikable character. She should have stayed for the therapy sessions and got herself sorted.Lisa is in a relationship with a guy named Matty who is committed to her, asks her to move in, has his life all together and is sweet, funny and supportive and then she chooses George guy who is being investigated and might be going to prison and lives in a dump. He has nothing together and he bought her play doh for her birthday. Yes it had a cool but fake sounding story.. which in all honestly, didn't really apply to her or her situation.. She falls in love with George who after only a few awkward encounters in which you see no chemistry and no interesting rapport. If you want to yell at your TV because she made poor decisions and because the movie is so lame, then sure watch it.

I thought that with a great cast, including the queen of Rom-Coms Reese Witherspoon, it would be an enjoyable movie. Not necessarily a good movie but an entertaining movie that the audience enjoys watching.
I was disappointed when this overly long movie did not deliver. Not much happened yet it was dragged out. I think part of this is because there are so many stories going on that are trying to be relevant to one another, but fall short. Also, the dialogue was weird and forced. Some of the communication exchanged was awkward or I just did not get it. I think it was supposed to be funny, but it just wasn't. I would not watch again.

I am not a professional critic, but I don't understand why anyone would not love this movie... Coming from a guy's perspective, I always like to have male characters that I connect with, that come across as genuine representatives of our gender as they meet life's challenges; whether they are a self-absorbed playboy like Owen's character, or Rudd's good guy meets ruinous circumstances... if they respond in a way that is honest to real-life, than I am hooked. The acting was wonderful, and the story was delightful. Don't miss this little gem because someone (or a whole bunch of someones) put on tight underwear the day they put their review down on paper.

This a movie full of moments, dialogs, expressions, situations that really show to much about life, love and parenthood. This is my 4th time I watch this movie and overtime it's getting better. Underrated it's not the word for this movie, its just that people doesn't get it. And let my tell you that Resse its great here, Paul to, and Jack, well maybe it will be his last movie so he's great to, but the big win is James, he it's a master of feelings, he is the best for making me laugh and cry, one of my favorite directors. I will love to hear that James is working in another movie, please do more. I might add that maybe the reason for the people don't get the movie its because they don't want to open their hearts, or simply they don't know how, how do you know? Thanks!!
