Breakinger
A Brilliant Conflict
Billie Morin
This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Married Baby
Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

I would have given this movie zero if I could. I stayed up until 3am last night watching this all the way to the end, just to see what actually was going on.More fool me, because I still couldn't tell you. What the heck was the point of the film??!!! Is she crazy, is she depressed, is she haunted? And what the heck were the final few scenes about, they didn't explain ANYTHING. I've seen some tripe in my time - I'll watch anything once, but this was just horrendous. They didn't explain anything at all - the whole way through the movie, the mother is convinced that the baby is evil - then ten minutes before it ends she's waving a knife round to protect the kid?! Then what, a big dark forest scene, a cut to the same dang exterior shot that seems to be used every 10 minutes, and we hear the mother telling the baby it's nap time AND THAT'S IT. Worst Movie EVER.

What's with the ending in this film? Did she kill the child or did the latter drown? What was the writer of this tripe thinking of when the ending came around? As in the cases with all these type of films, for a while you think there is a conspiracy going on. In this case, it would be between the husband and sister-in-law. What's with the latter? What happened to her marriage? The writers of this film needed to see "The Exorcist" back in 1973. Or, was this child "The Bad Seed" of the 1956 variety?By the way, pity the poor psychiatrist. She really got it at the end. She had probably wanted to exit even earlier after reading this tasteless script.

Was OK for the most part but what was it with the ending? I was expecting another ten minutes to explain what happened. The end scene shows the house and a female voice saying: 'Come on Katie, time for your nap' - it's awful and I hate films with non-endings like this. It's all down to lazy writing, was it too much to come up with a reasonable conclusion? - obviously! It always amazes me how trash like this ever gets filmed, do the writers, for instance, know they have to write a beginning, a middle, AND an end????? A very poor effort I'm afraid.

This actually is an enjoyable type horror-thriller. The lead actress, Victoria Pratt, is charismatic and gives a convincing performance. As indeed do all the players in the film. In brief, mother loses her young daughter in a river 'accident' and believes rightly or not, that her new baby has been taken over by the spirit of her deceased daughter and intends harm to the said mother.Or is she just hallucinating? The movie is very atmospheric.Excellent musical score if one listens closely; and the set design and direction is compelling. A lot of the picture is set in a spooky old house. Add to that an apparent killer baby, then well who can resist this film?! So whilst I am not entirely satisfied with the climatic ending all in all it is my opinion the movie deserves 6 and half out of 10, rounded up thus:7/10.
