Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
Mihai Toma In a dark place, where evil rules and every evil scientist has his own loyal hunchback servant (all called Igor), Igor, the main character is a bit different. He's a brilliant inventor, secretly working on numerous inventions which one day, hopefully, will make him famous. His big break comes out of nowhere, when his master is killed during a failed experiment. He decides to try to make what no evil scientist has done before: create life! That's where Eva comes is. Igor's lovely creation, opposite to what he wanted to achieve (an evil monster), is going to change his perspective on good and evil irreversibly. It's an interesting idea, although a bit simplistic, which unfortunately doesn't evolve in complexity during the film. It ends as easy as it started, with a very expected happy ending, no fuss and no tension whatsoever. It lacked intensity, it lacked drama, it lacked something very important, soul. Its animations aren't very good either. Although having a different way of creating its characters attracted my attention, its voice acting was horrible and some of the visual effects which were meant to impress, were far from something great.I tried to like it, with its ups and downs but it didn't work. Another average movie which will not be remembered soon, at least not by me.
Igor-Goldshteyn This is a interesting and funny cartoon about an Igor. Given that my name is Igor Goldshteyn (LOL). Good times at work after this cartoon was released :). I think that the studio did an excellent job with the animations and graphics. Although I believe that the characters could have been better, I believe that they did a good job. I had a pleasant time watching another Igor on the big screen. The story was great but could have been more interactive. It did not have as much intensity and interest as I would have hoped; however, time passed quickly when watching Igor. I would definitely watch this cartoon again given my name. This is an original and entertaining film. It's not on the same intelligence levels as some Disney/Pixar films but this is extremely underrated. It teaches children to love who they are and have high goals no matter who they are. Some very funny moments and truly heartwarming.Written by Igor Goldshteyn
friedsquirrel17 Igor only wants to invent and be renowned as a great evil scientist. But what he doesn't know is that he is part of greater system that has set his plans in motion. What makes this film great is that it makes you think. Many -isms play a key role in the story such as naturalism: Does the hump on Igor's back keep him from reaching the goal that others try to prevent or is it the hump that makes his goals possible? Or maybe Existentialism: How does Igor's free will make him into a hero or is it just naturalism and the odds were not stacked high enough? However these -isms undermine the story because although the viewer knows this movie is about Igor's dreams and what he will do to make realized, what they don't know is that these dreams were created by a puppet master. The question now is, "how does Igor play a role in this?" This high level thinking keeps IGOR from being a simple plot driven movie because there are actually many plots. I didn't give this a 10 because I think happy endings are cliché.
disdressed12 this animated film is sort of a riff on the original Frankenstein film.but it adds its own elements to the mix.it is entertaining and has some amusing moments, but it's not what i would call hysterical.there's romance angle which works well here.and there are a few good action sequences.the whole thing is only about 81 minutes(minus the end credits)but it does drag a bit at times.the voice work is excellent though.i was particularly surprised to find that Jay Leno voiced one of the characters.he did a really good job.and it's not the character you might think.overall, though i liked the movie,i can't say it was stellar.it passed the time for 81 minutes, and like i said has some amusing moments.for me,Igor is a 6/10
