The film is about the difficult situation in which the Pakistanis in particular and the Muslims in general are caught up since 9/11. There is a war going on between the Fundamentalists and the Liberal Muslims. This situation is creating a drift not only between the Western world and the Muslims, but also within the Muslims. The educated and modern Muslims are in a difficult situation because of their approach towards life and their western attire. They are criticized and harassed by the fundamentalists and on the other hand the Western world sees them as potential suspects of terrorism just because of their Muslim names.

Linbeymusol Wonderful character development!
Acensbart Excellent but underrated film
Hulkeasexo it is the rare 'crazy' movie that actually has something to say.
Edwin The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
eklavya cwk After watching Bol, I heard about Khuda Kay Liye and Waar. Yet to see Waar but just watched In the Name of God, this is In the Name of Father.... The movie is captive right from the start specially for those who are surrounded by Muslim community. The film reminded me of The Grapes of Wrath. Khuda Kay Liye gives us the glimpse that there are only two kind of people in the World, Good People and Innocent People, there is no category as Bad People. Any thing that seems wrong is just born out of ignorance and not out of religion. Logics are physical and can support right as well as anti but the thing thats even inner to the heart can guide one.Beautifully made, courageously long, apt and sweet, this is one movie that provides food for hope. Characters, acting, authentic drama, soundtracks, music and reasons, all are played well. But above all, it shows how casual, usual, general, pak and loving Islam is just like any other path.
Zaid Abro What can i say about this movie. This is truly a work of art. Hats off to shoaib mansoor. It is a very thought provoking film, not at all humorous or anything like that but not at all, at any point did I feel bored, as the movie progressed I got deep and deeper lost in the movie.Though the movie did have 2 plots, one was the plot about music and Islam, simultaneously 9/11 and the consequences after it were shown which I thought was deep and a reflection of reality but it wasn't necessary and perhaps made the movie too long showing the consequences a Muslim immigrant in USA had to face.Nevertheless i must say bravo to the wonderful acting everyone did. A movie this deep and full of thought according to me is a contender for an Oscar for its plot. The speech by Naseeruddin Shah nearing the end, i doubt that i will be able to get it out of my mind for quite a really long time. I do not have proper words to describe what shoaib mansoor has crafted.I watched this movie only recently which is 6 years after its release, for 6 years i heard how wonderful this movie was/is, at first i thought that it could not have been up to such a mark but surely i was mistaken, i feel that the way people complimented the movie was an understatement. This movie is a must watch, and trust me when i say MUST watch, I do not say that lightly :)
ALLY HASSAN ALI I watched this movie for the sake of the fact that ShoMan directed this movie the director of Sonhere din, the best TV serial after Tanhiyaan, and i was not disappointed. Shaan is absolutely awesome with his acting skills which was given life by ShoMan i would recommend to him if he reads this, please get out of the Syed Noor world of Punjabi films because Punjabi Pakistani films are dead when we lost Sultan Rahi and enter this world of ShoMan because he has earned a lot of respect by this movie. Iman Ali and others were a great touch to this movie, they match to the theme of the plot and movie set-up. Still there is lot of work to be done in Pakistani movies but this is just the beginning. i believe we have not seen the last of ShoMan.
Phaneendra Kumar Khuda Ke Liye is like an eye opener of sorts for many people(across various religions and continents).I saw this movie a fortnight ago and since then the movie is revolving at the back of my mind. It has left such an impression that no movie has done till date. Cinema is an art which mirrors the society as it is. Being an Indian, after watching this movie, I understood a lot about Pakistan and the culture there. The movie depicts the story of two brothers from Lahore, whose lives are catapulted through circumstances.Mansoor is the elder brother, who is studying music in Chicago and is a victim of the haters of Muslim community, thinking that every Muslim is a terrorist. Sarmad, the younger one is influenced by an orthodox Mulla to follow Islam like the QURAN says, by growing beard, dressing in huliya and stuff..The movie features a performance by Naseerudin Shah in the role Maulana Wali, who explains Islam as a religion and what a true Muslim should do instead of killing each other in the name if Jihad. This movie is a must watch for every Muslim, as it can show the correct path to all the confused Muslim youth..Also this movie is a must watch for every Indian, as this would change our perspective towards the Pakistani society. Also every westerner should watch this film before concluding that every Muslim is a terrorist. In short, this film is so huge on humanitarian grounds, that no film ever can reach the heights that this has reached.Khuda ke liye(For God's sake)..do not miss Khuda ke liye.
