Daninger very weak, unfortunately
Numerootno A story that's too fascinating to pass by...
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Kimball Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
TheLittleSongbird The Pink Panther cartoons are always interesting at least to watch, not all of them are great but most make for great entertainment. In The Pink is nice enough, but it doesn't see the Pink Panther at its best. The story is somewhat formulaic with a couple of spots that were lacking in energy, and not all the gags work. Some do, the boxing ball gag is the best of them and it is hugely amusing in its absurdity, others don't with the shadowboxing jokes forced and predictable(also a couple are obscure to the extent that even an adult might be at a risk at not getting them). The animation is detailed with some simple but very elegant-looking colours. The music is infectious in its upbeat jazziness and the theme tune for one so iconic has great staying power and doesn't annoy. While there are a couple of pacing lulls, In the Pink generally moves briskly and there are a lot of gags at least, though admittedly their effectiveness is a mixed bag. The little man is a funny and suitably bemused adversary, and Pinky is still charming and cool with great and wholly natural comic timing. All in all, not one of the Pink Panther's finest hours but nice to watch. 7/10 Bethany Cox
ccthemovieman-1 I remember the first time I ever went to a private gym to work out. It was a couple of years before this cartoon was released. I bring that up because the gym pictured here is exactly how they portray it in cartoons and such 50-100 years ago....not how they were like in 1967. It was mostly weight and weight equipment not these old iron horses, punching bags and the like. I guess these cartoonists never went to a gym.Nonetheless, this has some neat twists to it, especially with the poor little white-faced man who is the victim several times of the Panther's ineptness in the gym. The shadowboxing jokes were too predictable as were a couple of others but the jokes came so fast and furious it was easy to sit back and just enjoy. If I didn't think a gag worked, another one would come along in 10 seconds. There's a lot of material in this animated short.
Shawn Watson The Pink Panther looks at himself in the mirror after a shower and decides that he is getting fat. Determined to lose weight he plods down to the local gym to pump iron. But being his hapless, clumsy self, whatever he does naturally leads to disaster.Like most Pink Panther cartoons, some of the gags are funny and some are boring. But this time around a few are just downright obscure and senseless. If you watch In The Pink half-heartedly you might question what the hell is going on when you suddenly start paying full attention.Not an inspired short by any means.
jan-wiberg The Pink Panther is worried about him putting on weight lately, so he goes to a gym to get some exercise. He causes nothing but trouble to the little pointy-nosed man who also wants to keep fit.This is one of my favorite Pink Panther cartoons. Having seen it countless times, it still cracks me up. The boxing ball episode is particularly absurd and hilarious, and even the old shadow boxing gag ends with a funny (and disaster-causing) punchline. It doesn't matter that a couple of gags (the one leading to the basketball scene, for instance) feel a bit forced, they're funny nonetheless. If you're a fan of this character, don't miss this one!
