Hayleigh Joseph This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.
Paynbob It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Michael_Elliott Le dictionnaire de Joachim (1965) ** 1/2 (out of 4) This nine-minute animated short from Walerian Borowczyk tells the French alphabet using a word and then we see that word acted out. The animation is quite simple as each letter has the same drawing of the same man and then we see it altered to fit the word. At nine-minutes I thought this was a somewhat interesting film but at the same time it's subject got old rather quickly so by the time you get to the end you feel rather bored. I thought the animation was about as simple as you could get but it fit nicely with the material. There's certainly much better shorts out there but if you're a fan of the director then this is worth watching.
