This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

This is just one of those unique independent films that I would consider worth watching especially for the family. This deals with the not-so-common family life and how they've coped with someone like Tony, the savant. Chris Demtral's performance was amazing. I mean not only has he portrayed his role well, he probably had a hard time working the glitches out. The love between Julia and Tony is just so sweet. My most favorite part of the movie was when Tony and Julia shared a kiss though Tony was sort of opening his eyes and not closing them... kind of weird but still a sweet gesture... I mean being blind and autistic at the same time is not a common role. I don't know of any other movie that deals with it. That's why I can say that this movie is unique. If I'd have to say more about this movie, I'd probably be telling you the whole summary so it's better left for those who like Drama and the reality of life.

I watched it yesterday on Hallmark Channel as I am No.1 fan of Cybill Shepherd. (If not, I wouldn't bother for I hate to see any story about the misfortunate or handicapped.)All in all, it's a well-made film and the story was well told though couldn't help reminding viewers of the award-winning "My Left Foot", the ingredients were the same. Jeremy Lelliott as Young Tony was marvellos.
I give it 2 and a half star.
