Titreenp SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
Supelice Dreadfully Boring
Dirtylogy It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
Brennan Camacho Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
Tango and Cash Wow, how the mighty have fallen. The original was a masterpiece, the sequel was a fun Jeff Goldbloom cheesefest (in a good way!), but the third entry is, quite simply, trash. "Let's just keep going, keep makin' 'em" was the philosophy; purely a money-making adventure for the production company, no desire for quality. The movie is so bad that it took another 14 years for them to try to make another one. That says a lot.The script is incompetent and the characters are irritating. We just keep wishing one of the main characters would get eaten alive like the minor characters do. There's nothing redeeming about them - nothing redeeming about Sam Neill either. Close-up shots of him looking at things in his character's annoying way gets really annoying. We get it, come on. The milking of CGI dino fights is egregious. Yes, sequels usually resort to "overdoing" the original (for example, Alien/Aliens), but this was just ridiculous. Relying on CGI as the primary plot vehicle will never work, and it reveals the cheap, gimmicky nature of the movie. I could have given this turkey a 2 out of 10 simply for the film's last line - "Let's go home". Boooooo!!!! Booooooooooo!!!
alindsay-al I always had the fear with jurassic Park 3 that this concept wasn't going to be able to hold up for too much longer and unfortunately this film proves that theory correct. The premise of the film sees a couple convince Dr Alan Grant to travel to the island from The Lost World with them. As mentioned, Sam Neil is back as Dr Alan Grant and he is easily the best part of this film, he has most of his charm and charisma still intact and you care about his character. The supporting cast though is just poor, first of all is the couple he travels with the Kirbys. These characters were so bland and dull adding nothing to this film, the film tries to make you care about them but you just don't because of how poorly they are written and acted. There is a character called Ben that also goes on the trip and he is just boring, he is basically a worse version of Vince Vaughans character from the previous film. Also if you came here to see Laura Dern again she is just a glorified cameo. The story is just one big excuse to get Alan Grant on an island so they can have a jurassic Park film. You don't care about the emotional stakes in the film or the motivations of the characters. Also the film takes some directions at the start that takes away from the previous films and hurts them too. The script has a blend of cheesy humour and uninspiring drama to help in making you not care about anybody really in the film. The style of the film does have some entertaining and tense scenes in it, but they are few and far between. Also the Dinosaurs look so much worse in this film then previously which ruined some of the more tense scenes in the film. This film amazingly is only an hour and a half but feels much longer, which clearly shows that there were some issues of pacing in this film. Overall this film is one to avoid, even if you are a big fan of the is franchise it isn't one you should look for.
gautam-76176 What the hell? The T-rex is killed OFF. Why would a SPINOSAURUS be the villain. All the logos are of a Tyrannosaurus and this one is a Spinosaurus? Also, the scenes suck. Nothing fun. At least The Lost World had something interesting.
aaronheron I LOVE Jurassic Park. I love dinosaurs. I loved the cast of these movies. The first movie is my favorite movie of all time. The second one had its good moments, but it was generally below average. The reboot, Jurassic World, was a good time, but didn't stick with you. However, this one is just plain AWFUL.Sam Neill reprises his role as Alan Grant, but without any of the fun or character of Alan Grant. He has no personality in this movie, and makes stupid decisions frequently that Alan Grant should not be making. I don't even remember the names of the starring couple because they were so forgettable. They bickered constantly. but in a development everyone expected, they end up getting back together at the end after their divorce. However, they were so annoying towards each other, and made the dumbest decisions that no one would ever make, such as shouting through a megaphone in a forest of dinosaurs, that I was actively rooting for them to get eaten by a pack of Raptors. And I'm sure that there were others in the group with those three, but again, I don't remember their names or appearances due to their sheer lack of character and interest. If horrible characters weren't enough to drag down this mess of a movie, the plot makes no sense, and is filled with countless holes. Overall, there is absolutely no reason to watch this movie, no matter how much you love the series or dinosaurs, like me.
