Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.

After Neninthe comes Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam. Ram Gopal Varma, who comes up with interesting screenplays, fails to project his thoughts with this movie. This is a double edge sword because he is showing the process it takes to make a film and how his "actual" ideas may never reach the screen. The director describes how tough it is to get a break in the film industry and huge compromises must be made in order to make a dream come true. Each step of the way the writer/director has to bend to other people's thoughts and make sacrifices in order to make his dream come true. Sunil is really talented. He tried a different role as opposed to what he is known for. The rest of the cast were wonderful. Songs, editing, cinematography were good. However, the film had an overall "bored" feeling to it. In conclusion, RGV reminds us, making films is a risky business and as more people are involved there is more pressure to make it successful.

ANR, NTR's lineage, Mohan Babu - all are surviving in industry with other skills but not necessarily by talent. They knew neither acting nor dancing, period. They are just leeches in the industry. D. Venkatesh's 'pidakala' dance moves - as if sun-drying cow-dung on wall - are all shown in an unbiased way. This movie shows how pathetic is Telugu film industry, infested all the time with shameless hypocritical morons.Just couple of heroes like Ravi Teja and Edara Naresh (Allari Naresh) are there in the industry who can do all gamut of acting. But they too have been sadly casted out - like Allari Naresh for comedy, and RaviTeja for his typical roles; though both can do even art-house films.I have never seen Mahesh Babu doing tragedy/horror movies. His face can't even generate 'karuna' in the audience. All are useless and shameless actors.I suggest watching this movie KSD Appalaraju with Sudigadu.Very Brave and nonchalant attempt by Rama Gopal Varma. This film alone serves as mirror to reflect industry, while the movie 'Shiva' being the 'Nayaki' of the initial Appalaraju in RGV. Thus 'Shiva' shines splendid.
