SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

Peereddi I was totally surprised at how great this film.You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.

Ganesh Salian (salianmoviereview) Khatta Meetha directed by Priyadarshan is awful.After watching this awful movie,you feel sorrow that you wasted your money on this movie.I can't believe that he is the same director who won the National Award for Best Director 2-3 years back The story of the movie is about corruption in India.Whats new?This has been told in more than thousand movie.But here the Sachin Tichkule (our very own Akshay Kumar) shows corruption in a comical way.The movie is a big letdown in terms of direction,acting(except Johnny Lever and Asrani),music,story,screenplay...everything.Performances-As mentioned above Johnny Lever and Asrani are the only ones who shine in brief roles.Trisha Krishnan is okay.The rest are dull(including Akshay Kumar).On the whole Khatta Meetha is bad!

Ganesh Salian Khatta Meetha,directed by Priyadarshan is a painful watch.The film deals with corruption in India in a comical way.The story has been told many times in several movies.Secondly,the jokes just do not bring smile on your face.Barring one or two.Priyadarshan,who is known to make comedy hits such as Hera Pheri,Hungama etc. does a bad job this time.The music is average.Performance wise-Johnny Lever and Asrani in brief roles are superb.Akshay Kumar,please quit doing comedy movies.Trisha fails.Rajpal Yadav,Tinnu Anand,Neeraj Vora and Manoj Joshi shout throughout the movie.Urvashi Sharma is weird.Kulbhushan and Aruna acted much better in 70's movies.Overall Khatta Meetha is bad.

Avinash Patalay No matter what the fate of his earlier works, Priyadarshan has reached a stage where audience still remembers his glorious days and patronise his latest outing in a hoping for a gratifying experience. You & me fall into the "Khatta Meetha" trap for this very reason. The product is not too bad, but then not up to the mark either. The audience has a disconnect as there are many places where the plot loses steam. A little bit of sincere effort could have turned the tables. The product is glossy and music is peppy but that doesn't help much. Comedy is good only at certain places.Akki:: The sole reason he has associated with Priyan is in a hope of a hit. Its getting evident that his performance is nearing to being termed as loud.Trisha:: Bollywood gets a taster session of this actress who has string of hits on her resume down-south. She is just about OK as "Khatta Meetha" doesn't showcase her talents to the fullest glory.Tinnu Anand & Aruna Irani:: Hardly had any role.Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever & Asrani:: Should take a break from Priyan movies. Its getting on the nerves honestly.Khulbhushan Kharbanda:: Bad characterisation. I did not fathom why was he up against Akki all the time.The original "Khatta Meetha" (directed by Basu Chatterjee in 1978) is a classic in comparison.

k-karnavat The reason why the movie didn't work like other Akshay Kumars flick is because, Priyadarshan called this movie a funny flick. The movie is pretty serious and deals with the corruption in India.The movie is funny too, the reason why other critics don't get it, is simply because they lack sense of humour. Anyway, The movie was really well made from the proper contractor look given to Akshay Kumar, who portrays it brilliantly with his comic timing, to Rajpal Yadav's expressions.The movie has gives a social message as well as entertains you. The negative part about the movie is that it's too long. It could've been short and simple. The actors are loud too plus Asrani is really annoying at times.The film is really good.
