Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
Ariella Broughton It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
Kien Navarro Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
Cissy Évelyne It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
e-clayton-01810 Although it is remembered as a classic "King Kong" has some very prominent issues that I can't overlook. First off, and most importantly the film plays so heavily into the idea that "women are helpless". The main character, Anne is very much so, a damsel in distress whose sole purpose is to be saved. Even the language in the film plays into this idea. I.e. one of the main crew members, the man who eventually falls in love with the Anne, speaks of women in the most sexist why. He says all they do is "get in the way" as well as something along the lines of "women don't belong anywhere else but inside a house". The film is very sexist and plays into the male female dynamic where women always need saving and a man to love them which is so often seen in mainstream movies now.
merelyaninnuendo King KongA new or 'out of the box' idea isn't everything, there are lots of inputs before the film hits the screen and this movie is the perfect example of it; it has a new concept, it offers enough range to the characters and the actors, its gripping and it unfolds in each level into something vivid and beautiful. King Kong is one of those rare masterpiece that it works even; literally, after a century too for the premise is something that is ahead of its time and even now too, it still is fresh; hats off to the writers. It brings out different creatures alive that one have only encountered in nightmares and it feeds enough gravity to even these creatures for it dread the characters and even the audience despite of being short on the vfx technology. King Kong isn't to the point, on the contrary it takes the long route which is filled with gripping and exhilarating sequences with a sense of enough emotion for all of it to glue this project together.
Matt Greene Not only is it a technical marvel, full of innovation and unfathomable effort, it's also one of the most exciting adventure tales ever. The rampage on the native's village; the breakout in Manhattan; the fight with the dinosaur. The excitement, the humor, the characters, the sheer size; it's sowing the seeds of what we've come to love in the best of modern blockbusters.
jacksheraw17 This film was fantastic. Robert Armstrong did an amazing job depicting a money-hungry filmmaker in Carl Denham. Fay Wray also does a wonderful job playing a scared but somewhat touched soul in the long run, showing many different emotions throughout. What I really love about this film is the message; sometimes the troubled beast is actually a soft soul, but people are too scared to see it. I found that it was a deep and possibly overlooked message, but very relevant to the film and many situations happening everyday.
