Plantiana Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.
Mjeteconer Just perfect...
Mehdi Hoffman There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
rosechocoberry ***This review may contain spoilers*** This is a story of humanized toys, which reminds me of Pixar's animation films because of the huge hit of Toy Story series. A cute little snowman in a snow globe tries to escape the snow globe and company with attractive mermaids who live with tropical toys. As the easy songs is played on the background through the film, the film itself is very rhythmical and story goes with a good tempo. Although the snowman tries to escape in many ways and failed again and again, those changes of the actions with the certain tempo makes the film fun, and keep the audience expecting what the snowman do the next. The snowman cannot make it after all, and he ends up in the fishbowl, being stuck in his snow globe. The ending was a little bit rough in my opinion. I want the snowman to get out of the snow globe as the ending, because in that way, he can finally make his dream come true. He has tried a lot for getting out and hang out with mermaids, but his effort leads him to be worse trouble which he has to live in a fishbowl. I think the story will be better if it has more positive meaning that if we try something so hard, we can change how we are destined to be.
Wheepuppy In an alternative universe where toys are alive, a snowman dreams about joining the summer party taking place next to him, while it is trapped inside a snowball. The main and almost only motivation after this snowman to get out the snowball and approach the other toys partying is the presence of a skin and wavy blonde doll, with a huge and impressive sunglasses and a brilliant smile which helps her to fit in the perfect and standardized canon of a woman nowadays everyone should desire to be or to date. The short film deals with this subject in a humoristic way, showing the snowman going through different situations in order to finally meet this doll and be with her. But for what concerns me, the jokes are far from being funny or original, the story is simple and quite predictable, what in addition to the motivation under the plot made me unable to enjoy the film. The good part of the short film might be the good animation Pixar Studios never fails to show, the colors and the sound which make the piece audio visually attractive, thus even when there is no dialogue we are able to follow everything that is going on and read the expressions and feelings of the toys on screen when they are not even human nor real.
coldplayer-57213 This movie is a very simple and short story. The main character is a snowman. He is trapped inside a circle snow dome. So, he attempts to escape from this snow dome by using a variety of toys and to talk to beautiful doll outside of this snow dome. After all, the snowman can escape from this snow dome for a short time and encounter this doll. However, he backs to this snow dome. I think this film is so funny and easy to understand. Background music is also very comical. So, I strongly recommend this movie for everyone.
yuka I have two questions about this story. First, where did snow man get goods used in snow dome? Yes, it is nonfiction but stories need consistency or something like that, even fantasy. He used dynamite, gas and construction goods to break a pane of glass and go to the beautiful woman. Otherwise, he must have lived in the dome or he brought those things from anywhere. Why was he able to do it? Second, there are mermaid and Atlantis in the story. According to OALD dictionary, "Atlantis is an island full of beauty and wealth, that was said to have been covered by the sea and lost and there are many people's attempt to find the island." Moreover, there is the island in the bottom of the sea. Also, in the knick-knack story, it was found when the snowman fell in the cistern so there is the bottom. Furthermore, mermaid is a mythical sea creature with the head and trunk of a fish, conventionally depicted as beautiful and with long flowing golden hair." The girl of the story has long flowing golden hair so each contents are related. Then, a legend creature, mermaid, was on the legendary island! I think it is so interesting! That's why those two things is interesting for me.
