Contentar Best movie of this year hands down!
Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
Stoutor It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
Wyatt There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
cyberdazed1 Superb acting by entire cast ! If you are not a Stamos fan, you will be after watching this. He steals the performance from right under the other actors in every scene. His plays a sleazy character but does it so well that you want to root for him. Michael Leydon Campbell is so lovable - kind of a guy every girl wants but does not go for. Even the storyline about the married couple gets interesting and leaves you wanting to know what happens to them. The movie is about love / commitment from guys' point of view. And it's surprising how similar and how different it is from girls' POV. However,if you are easily offended then this movie is not for you.
rond111 Knots is that little known film that just seemed to work. You left the the theater laughing for a change. At last a non-violent, non- cartoon film that's worth seeing. An actual comedy that's entertaining without sight gags. Dating, marriage, infidelity, and cross genre infidelity. There was plenty of wit, plot, and humor to move the film along. Paulina P. was beautiful and surprisingly good. John Stamos was very funny and believable as that 30 something guy . The NY locations were great to see , particularly the Brooklyn scenes. Originally saw this at the Gen Art festival, unedited. Try to catch this version as I understand the edited version took a little teeth out of it
gbudoff Knots is a clever portrayal of the modern day urban relationship and love triangle genre. It is both poignant and relevant and effectively portrays a range of viewpoint and emotion relating to how people interact with each other both in and out of relationships and how people come face-to-face with their own demons. Scott Cohen and Annabeth Gish give strong performances. John Stamos is brilliant with his character portrayal of a care free womanizer (I can hands down say this is his strongest work that I have seen to date) and the rest of the cast does an overall strong job of rounding out the movie. I thought the movie was well written and directed with a crisp, thorough understanding of mood, pacing and the genre as a whole. Greg Lombardo does a masterful job of allowing the characters to evolve in a way that feels very natural and then gets out of their way allowing them to follow their own path to meaning and discovery. Overall, I think this a meaningful comedy with a strong message that shouldn't be missed.
Andrew S This really took me by surprise. I was expecting fun, light fare, but ended up loving this film. Paulina Poriskouva puts in the best performance I've seen in a long time - sexy, funny, and well acted. Annabeth Gish is awesome, much like her short appearances on the West Wing. John Stamos is hilarious and much more interesting than the junk he did on full house. Tara Reid is cute and not her "bad publicity" persona. Many films would hang themselves on the twist (which I'm not going to give away) of the film's premise, and kind of leave the movie to its own devices. The film really goes forward from the premise and develops each one of the characters completely. Just awesome cast, very good writing, and extremely funny! Loved it.
