Reviews

Kailansorac Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.
Asad Almond A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
Ortiz Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
Python Hyena Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde (2003): Dir: Charles Herman-Wurmfeld / Cast: Reese Witherspoon, Sally Field, Regina King, Luke Wilson, Jennifer Coolidge: The only working element of this comedy is its title. It regards making a difference within a majority. It might had made a difference had the film not been released period. Elle Wood is fired from her job when she tries to locate her dog's mother. It leads to a battle against testing animals to make beauty products. This film is so wretched that it most likely wasn't tested on anything let alone common sense. She puts her marriage on hold and accepts a job in Washington where she battles the animal testing issue as well as discourage co-workers. Formula mess that leads to an embarrassing climax where two gay dogs are wed. Director Charles Herman-Wurmfeld shoots this travesty as if he were asleep. Reese Witherspoon was appealing in the first film but here she is subdued in idiocy losing any charm she obtained before. Sally Field is far too talented to be playing this tyrant beauty marketer. Regina King is totally cardboard, and Luke Wilson as Witherspoon's fiancé is even more useless than he was in the previous film. Jennifer Coolidge seems to be typecast into these roles but she will always be remembered for her American Pie stint. Pointless sequel that should be buried in dog crap and scooped into a trash bag. Score: 1 / 10
Desertman84 Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde is the sequel to the 2001 film, Legally Blonde. It features Reese Witherspoon once again as Elle Woods together with Luke Wilson, Sally Field, Regina King, Bruce McGill, and Bob Newhart. This time,Elle Woods heads to Capitol Hill to fight for her cause before Congress. She runs into plenty of adversity and red-tape and can't seem to find anyone who will listen to her proposals. While staying at the Watergate hotel though, she meets and befriends an elderly bellman who's been around politicians long enough to know the ins and outs of the political machine. With his help, Elle attempts to convince disillusioned U.S. Representative Rudd to help her get her voice heard in front of the stodgy old coots of the legislative branch.Once again,Reese Witherspoon is a delight on the big screen. She is charming and provides another commendable performance as Elle Woods as she was confident and charming as she introduced blonde politics. It was just unfortunate that the humor does not provide better laughs unlike the first film due its lame and lazy script. Too bad that her performance alone could not carry the film due to its poor screenplay. If blonde politics provided great humor,it would have been bigger than Reese's big hit,Sweet Home Alabama.
alsation72 In the first movie, a blonde student became a lawyer in two seconds. Here, the same character is now a lobbyist in Washington.Elle Woods is in Washington to spruik up some support for animal rights; albeit the shallowest possible depiction of animal rights. She wants animal testing for cosmetics banned. The first film was generally watch-able, and the Witherspoon character was enough of a novelty to drive the film ... here the same character is just plain irritating and the scenario's just ridiculous. This is a particularly soulless film, with pointless scenes that just drag on and on. The "gay dog" mini-storyline is just ridiculously lame. Not sure whether I will sit through the whole thing at this point ... you don't really need a crystal ball to work out what will happen, and there's no incentive to bother with it except for the 'so-bad-its-funny' effect.1/10 ... utter ****
peze80 It's not very often that I write reviews on here (even though I love reading them!) but this one made me think that I have to warn others. This is one of the worst sequels ever! I'm a big fan of sequels myself. You can say that I "collect" them. If I watch a movie and it gets a sequel I GOT to have it. I love being in that first movie's universe. And I want to know what happens to the characters. Not with this one.My girlfriend and I were looking forward to a Legally Blonde marathon today. We had both watched number 1 one time each but hadn't seen number 2. Boy, were we disappointed! Not only did they make the main character stupid again for this movie. But it's all about politics! Boring politics. Isn't this supposed to be a FUN comedy? Not a boring movie about laws, bills, hoppers and what have you! I'm gonna say it: we didn't understand half of what was going on. It was too confusing and difficult. So we turned it off halfway through. And with number one being that good?! I even cried a little during that one. And this bull... very bad!
