Reviews

Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
Janae Milner Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
Delight Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.
adonis98-743-186503 Dachau in 1965. Natasha Arseni missing over 20 years from Greece. Shortly before returning visits the former concentration camp. On the train to the motherland begins to remember the years of occupation. Since among German officers was her classmate, Max Reuter, who became an officer in the SS, although his mother was Greek. Max, chased an officer of the Greek army, Orestes, who helped Natasha twice, once in Kopais and one in Athens. But fate plays its own games. With 2 terrific performances by Aliki Vougiouklaki & Dimitris Papamichael Ypolohagos Natassa (1970) is a thrilling Greek war film with some pretty intense action sequences, a lot of shocking moments, 2 amazing well shot sequences with Orestes and years later his son riding a horse and appear from miles away and even an amazing scene in a Church but also a shocking plot twist with it's ending the movie is captivating from start to finish!!!
BobW1823 I'm an Englishman who, as yet, speaks little Greek with confidence. However, this was the movie, with English sub-titles, which, a little more than a year ago, introduced me to Aliki. So far I have only nine of her movies and I'll reserve judgment on just how good I think it is, at least in relation to the other movies I have seen so far. Nonetheless, I defy anyone not to be moved by the theatre scene where the audience join her in singing, 'Iparche nanta ena tragoudi'. Movies like Ipolohagos Natassa and To Taxidi show how good Aliki must have been on stage and in serious drama. Even so, it wasn't until I saw Aliki in 'Mantalena' that I was, and remain, truly captivated. Aliki singing, 'Thalassa platia' is surely one of the most beautiful scenes in the cinema and her rapport with Panteli Zervo SO moving. Aliki's movies and songs should be recognised as a Greek national treasure and a respectful visit to her grave a must for any visit to Athens. So, if you haven't started GET COLLECTING. Start with Ipolohagos Natassa, Mantalena, Astero, To Pio Lambro or Aliki sto Naftiko (for a rollicking good laugh) and To Taxidi. I promise you that Aliki will become a permanent part of the crystal of your self in a way that few actors can.
lama2000 This is the best film th Aliki Vouyouklaki did with her then husband Dimitris Papamichail. It reflects a true picture of the 1940 life in Greece. This is a film that you would see more than one time if you understand Greek. The film is also available in English speaking language.
Greekboy This is the best film of Aliki vougiouklaki. I have seen this film more than 20 times and always crying at the end. You can find this film with english subtitles. Aliki's performance is so strong and touching. Rated 10 out of 10
