I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

This movie is a total disappointment.A heavy advertising for something really shallow. The plot is full of misunderstandings.Only children could believe in such a shallow story.Terrible actors ,apart from one or two. I hope there will be more directors like Qvor Gurdev otherwise the Bulgarian cinema is hopeless. This movie is a total disappointment.A heavy advertising for something really shallow. The plot is full of misunderstandings.Only children could believe in such a shallow story.Terrible actors ,apart from one or two. The movie is very entertaining, it is also funny and interesting. I found it very pleasant to watch and I would watch it again. I think that it is an example of how Bulgarian film industry can live again and can be successful. It is true that there are some flaws and that it could have been made more precise. But still the movie is great and I recommend it to all my friends and people I know because I think we should definitely support what is made here, in Bulgaria. Also I want to share that when I watched it at the cinema I forgot that I was in a movie theater, I felt like I am at the seaside and it was great. The movie makes you feel happy because of the story line, because of the actors, because of the music in it and because it is very fresh. I truly recommend it!

Overall I liked the movie. It's always good to see a Bulgarian movie that provokes your interest and manages to keep you entertained during the whole ~100 minutes. There were however too many plot holes even for a comedy. The audience is expected to believe that a young man who doesn't remember anything from the last 13 years shows no interest to the surrounding world at all? I also found the story about Krisi and her father just too much... It all seemed a bit forced, out of place and with no meaning to the whole movie. OK, she did meet her father but what happens after that? What happened with the hotel, her brother... And these are just some of the many things that you cannot fail to notice.I also didn't quite like the aggressive advertising in the movie. Sure, sponsors should be given credit but I could have had a bit less of that particular bank through the movie. The script was also predictable and kind of clear from the start. All those young people having lost their way in life starting to follow their dreams again after remembering their childhood and teen years, is just a cliché.On the other hand despite all of the above I loved the movie. It was genuinely fun and entertaining while still provoking people that are reaching or have reached the age of 30 to just give stop for a second and think about their own life.I give it a 6/10 but maybe I'm a bit too harsh. If you are a Bulgarian, you are going to love it. If you aren't, you may still enjoy it.

I think "Living legends" is a great contribution to the modern Bulgarian film industry. The movie has profound story line, which however keeps a great sense of humor and nice jokes, which makes you laughing almost all the time. There is shade of melancholy for the the great days of the light-hearted childhood and teenage years we all miss. The soundtrack perfectly fits the script and contributes for the joyful atmosphere. The whole cast performance is terrific. Together with the places where the movie has been shot. The only part I have not enjoyed that much is the stripper.... not sure why most of the BG modern movies emphasize that much on exposing Bulgaria in this way.
