pedrovitalgarcia The movie is a benchmark for future Dominican films, it incorporates the society in a way that hasn't been done before, definitely looking forward to Lotoman003 which seem to be causing quite a commotion in the island. The truth is that for me this was necessary, a comedy which inspires unity in families but also portrays the hardships people face with different adversities and how to go about them, similar to the drama we face on a daily basis. If you are a Spanish speaker you should watch the movie, if you are Dominican you should watch it even more. Latins all over have enjoyed it. I write this review from the bottom of my heart, I have been truly moved and feel very proud of my country to see things like this coming together, so don't waste more time and check it out for yourself, you wont be disappointed.
angel-garcia-92 It's amazing how movies have become so empty and lack character and a positive message for the younger viewers, this wasn't the case with Lotoman. It honestly showcases a series of beliefs that people have regarding money and what that will do to their lives and help it make it better. This movie is a true example of how family and love comes over all. I truly recommend it as a film to watch with family. If you are Dominican like myself you will also find a lot of insights which will transport you to the island. I have 25 years since i left the island and it was like going back. I have a lot of high hopes for Dominican films and looking forward to watching "Lotoman 2.0" in the next days.
José Luis Reinoso Guzmán My goodness. I never thought a ?movie? could be this bad. What a waste of my precious time! The storyline, well it doesn't exist. It's a long TV sketch. Really bad writing, acting, editing... Just horrible. I stayed throughout the film because I was with my girlfriend and she had been anxious to watch it. She was also disappointed. Next time, I'll wait for something better like "Tres al rescate" or The butcher's son (La soga).Dominican directors should see good movies first and learn from them. We're not going anywhere if we continue delivering such a bad example of filming
Rafael Rodriguez Lotoman is an example of films made for the race and without any cinematic approach. The story tells how two brothers move from very poor to millionaires to win the lottery and living situations in their new status of wealthy.Of the positive things the film worth mentioning is the performance of Alfonso Rodriguez gets into the character and makes it credible, on the other hand, the bottom line is acceptable, the bad thing is the way we have it all.The script is not clear, let other crazy situations with less sense and stay in the air. Raymond Pozo Miguel Cespedes show that there aren't movie stars, TV is your thing, the short comedy sketch and ready.Dominican Republic is a country that enjoys his comedians, supports his films, I think it is time for the national film producers support the Dominicans with a good movie as we deserve.Rafael Rodríguez Torres
