Details

A dysfunctional family of adult film stars reunites for a memorial porn shoot following the death of legendary producer Mo Saltzman. Along the way, the film's hapless director must contend with dueling divas, bickering couples, emotionally-scarred tag-team brothers, and a dominatrix with low self-esteem. Given its all-star cast and lofty pedigree, the film should be the greatest porno of all time

Scanialara You won't be disappointed!
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Blake Rivera If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.
timmyj3 I have to admit that this may have been a clunker. It shouldn't have been. Anyone that saw a porno in the 80's (basically anyone over 40) should have been interested.I thought the premise was sound and should have produced a better finished product. The premise is a legendary porn director has passed away. One of his old cronies wants to fulfill his dead friends last wish of one more porno with the old stars. The best part of the movie was showing the old fictitious movie clips the fake porn star made.Once we have the cast all set, the movie seems to stall. The petty bickering among the old friends takes over. The director loses control of the assorted cast of fake faded porn stars but all works out in the end. It just kind of clunks along.Mockumentaries are a pretty dicey road to travel. Spinal Tap is the only one that I have ever really thought was a cut above. This movie is more in the realm of "A Mighty Wind". A similar mock about old folk singers. I think this genre only goes so far and this film was limited by that. The cast was OK. Too large and I think that was part of the problem. I especially liked Molly Hagen and Pete Gardner. They played a late 40's married couple that were the hot porn couple of the 80's. Christopher Boyer probably had the largest part as the director that is doing this film for his late friend and mentor (not really, he made it up!) and he is very good. I thought the acting was fine. It was a cast without major stars and I am OK with that. I just believe that this type of film (mockumentary) can only go so far. But, thanks for the honest effort.
sherioffy Despite what the first reviewer said, I watched this movie with an open mind. I love mockumentaries, and have seen ones ranging from low-budget and terrible to high-budget and hilarious. This one definitely had the feel of a high-budget film (quality of picture, sound, and camera work) but did have unknown actors. What stood out in my mind, however, was that the writing was actually quite good. It is clear that the writers of Love Shack are intelligent, and they successfully wrote a witty and dry comedy, in my opinion. If you are looking for a simple, humorous and satirical film, give this one a try. If you aren't a fan of This is Spinal Tap and the like, stay away.
lewiskendell Meh. Love Shack is a VERY mediocre mockumentary about the attempt to complete the last porn film of a legendary porn director who recently died. A dream team of fictional porn stars of the past and present are assembled, and they have seven days to make what will hopefully be the adult flick of the year. It tries desperately to be funny, but fails at nearly every attempt. It's surprisingly tame, uninteresting, and just generally boring. This could have been a solid movie if the execution would have been as good A's the original idea, but nope, nowhere close.I only watched this because of Diora Baird (her part is incredibly small, so anyone else with that idea should be warned). It wasn't worth it. If you're looking for a good mockumentary, skip it. If you're looking for a good raunchy comedy, skip it. If you're looking for a good movie in general, skip it. There's nothing to recommend about Love Shack.
