StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

Phillida Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

cinoches-4 Milan in the 1950s............"Luna e l'altra" is the tale of an elementary school teacher Luna di Capua (who came to Milan with her father from Naples in post-War Italy) whose dreary life takes a very unexpected turn one stormy night when her shadow separates itself from her and assumes a life of her own. A neo-realist and original tale of fantasy and love skilfully woven on film. Dark brooding scenes contrast with many humorous and enlightening moments, just as the introverted personality of Luna contrasts with the exuberant personality of her "shadow-come-to- life"............The film imbues the audience with a semi- surrealistic feeling of love, euphoria and sacrifice...........
