Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Bessie Smyth Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
Davis P Mad Money is a very fun caper/comedy film that I always love seeing over and over again! The cast does a great job! Diane Keaton was awesome as the lead role! Also, Queen Latifah was very funny and enjoyable to watch as Nina. Then there's Katie Holmes, who I really liked as well, I didn't enjoy her performance quite as much as Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton's, but it was still fun to watch. Ted Danson is also here as Diane's husband, Don, and he was good in his role too. That was one of the movies biggest upside, the cast. The script was well written and amusing as well. The whole movie was filled with fun, comedic, and amusing entertainment! There was even heart warming moments thrown into the mix. Romance budded between some characters, and it shows good healthy friendship as well. This caper comedy is just a really fun time, and I would encourage you to go and buy or rent it one night, you will not be disappointed! 9/10 for Mad Money.
Hamish Joy After getting into a heavy debt, socialite Bridget Cardigan gets a job as a janitor at the Federal Reserve Bank. She observes how they handle the bills scheduled for destruction and gets an idea how to sneak some of their money. She finds accomplices Nina (Queen Latifah) and Jackie (Katie Holmes) to sneak out large sums of money out on a regular basis. This is a fool proof plan, cos apparently, in this universe, there are no serial numbers or any other measures to identify stolen money.I like Diana Keaton. She's a very talented actress, and I would have thought this simple role would have been a piece of cake for her, but as a criminal mastermind, she really comes off as stupid and unbelievable. Partly because of the stupid plans her character executes, yes, but I gotta say - partly due to poor acting as well. It looks like she phoned this one in.Anyway, they escalate their crime further and include more accomplices - husbands and boyfriends - and greed keeps them in the game far longer than they had initially planned. But they keep at it as if it's the crime that simply cannot be caught. And Katie Holmes' character apparently has spider senses which tingle when danger lurks - seriously, they avoid their plan one day because she got a bad feeling, and it turned out that they had a surprise inspection that day, which could have got them caught. In one scene towards the end, she has a Wile E. Coyote style contraption set up to destroy evidence at her house. I don't know what they were aiming at with this character. The premise is ridiculous, and the characters'are just not persuasive. Especially their greed that makes them want to keep going at this - It just got way too surreal too fast.
beresfordjd I was expecting to start watching this movie then switch it off. Yes my expectations were low. However this little movie was great, not great art but a great pleasure to watch. I am no fan of any of the three leading actresses but they made this a joy to watch. Ted Danson (who I could never warm to in Cheers) impresses me with his timing and (in Damages) his acting talent. The story is simply told and is absorbing, entertaining and (unusually for a modern comedy) funny. Not uproariously but it made me smile on many occasions. The viewer cares about the characters and what happens to them and that is a testament to the writing and direction. It is not the best comedy I have ever seen nor the best heist movie but the sum is greater than the parts. Keaton was very good and Queen Latifah was terrific support. I recommend this for a pleasant way to pass an hour or so.
Neil Welch Mad Money is a comedy heist movie, with an unusual wrinkle in that the crooks are all women. They work at the Federal Reserve Bank, and the thought of all that worn out money simply being shredded proves to be too much for the unexpectedly impoverished Bridget (Diane Keaton), reduced to cleaning after husband Ted Danson loses his job. So she recruits single mom / money shredder Nina (Queen Latifah) and dippy trailer dweller money mover Jackie (Katie Holmes) and the three of them demonstrate how easy it is to recycle" some of this unwanted money, albeit not without some wobbly moments on the way. This movie features pleasing performances from all the main characters, but particularly from Diane Keaton. Katie Holmes' dozy Jackie is good fun, too, and Queen Latifah's sincerity gives the film some much-needed heart.Enjoyable, if a little frothy.
