SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
trimblair ABBA is the star of this show. The dancing and singing is fine. Meryl is a distraction with her "half the country is too stupid to understand my art, entertained by MMA and football" baggage she brings with her. You go home singing MAMA MIA and smiling. That is the most any movie can hope to achieve.
TonightTurnYourWeaponsToSnow Honestly...... I have no words to describe this movie. The colonization that reeked from the screen was just too much too handle. What even were those aunts? Extra and so annoying... The three old men? Cringeworthy. The plot? Just a basic story of a typical Caucasian family vacation. Nothing special at all. Just a bunch of annoying white people and their annoying white problems. The only interesting character was Sophie.Tea time? Yes, is now officially over!1/10 DO NOT watch.
White_Prophet I loved the songs of course and that was definitely the best part of the movie for me. Streep and Seyfried were good and the Greek setting made for a lot of beautiful scenery. Other than that, the story was pretty basic and one that you can't take too seriously, especially towards the end. There were a lot of cheesy moments and probably too much singing (I'm not that into musicals, though i love La La Land) but if you just go with it it's pretty fun if not for the songs alone.
wilson trivino Many musicals don't translate well to get big screen but this one does. It is in essence a love story, rediscovering your roots and discovering who you are. With an all star cast, the movies does not disappoint. With all the fun ABBA tunes mixed in, it's a big party. Don't be ashamed to shout out loud as you become your own dancing queen.
