That was my question after seeing like 20 minutes of Marci X.I don'tknow what you Americans are thinking, but if this is a portray of your mainstream pop culture, you are really f*cked up. I don't have anything against you people, but PLEASE!, stop bombarding us with these God-awful stinkers such as: Date Movie, Soul Plane, Adam Sandler's romantic "comedies",From Justin to Kelly and so on.What can I say about Marci x that hasn't been stated. Well, it disgusted me. It disgusted me the way in which people are stereotyped (white, black,latinos). C'mon, not every black people in U.S.A is a rapper or a criminal and not every white people is wealthy and conservative. The comedy in this film also disgusted me: not a single funny part!. This is way too much, taking into account that Damon Wayans has proved himself to be a good comedian. On the other hand, Phoebe stinks as usual.To sum up, Marci X is a disgusting Hollywood piece of s*it, which creates a racist decadent good-for-nothing version of American pop culture.Yo! American people,if you keep doing movies like Marci x, the world would find it easier to keep hating you.

What can I say...I was suckered into buying this piece of crap that featured a Wayan brother, naturally I should've guessed it would be awful. First off, it's price tag was 1 Euro which is awfully cheap and to be honest the advertisements on the casing was... OH MY GOD. Secondly when I bought it, the store clerk and his friend told me that it's better I bought another movie instead of this one... I refused. Now for the third part which we're finally going to talk about the movie, it's like watching a man pointlessly talking to himself. The acting was fake, the highlight of the humor was about homosexual boybands, the plot is such a knock-off and I felt empty at the end. It's like waiting for a joke that's never gonna show up only to realize the joke's on you, the ranting about rappers or color of skin or where you come from makes this movie nothing more than a big lecture. I was fooled and I believe many others were too, anyone believing this to be a reasonable movie should really need to understand one thing.IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A COMEDY MOVIE!I have so much more to say why this movie is so bad that I wouldn't mind killing moi if I had to see it again another 50 times. If you use crack or any other drugs buy this crap, otherwise avoid it like the plague, poke your eyes or throw it out in the trash can.

I don't know what all the fuss is about this movie. I just finished watching it and I thought it was funny. Sure your going to sprout any new brain cells or anything from it and it was some deep social commentary. It was just a light funny movie and I think it accomplished what it set out to do. It entertained me for the run of the movie. I don't know why it did so poorly at the box office. It was a funny.I know that no movie can entertain or please everybody and if you are looking for depth or human drama look for another title....if you want to laugh and enjoy yourself then pick up Marci X and have a laugh.I'll bet that no matter what your favorite movie is that there are people who don't like it. I am glad I didn't check this board before watching it or I would have probably missed a funny movie.

Damon Wayans and the rest of afro-American actors that play the rappers in this movie are great ,I mean they are hilarious (and I'm writing from Canary Islands, Spain).I would love a movie that treat these characters by themselves, cause they are excellent. I prefer Dr. S songs than Marci's song . The movie is not the worst movie ever made despite what some other reviewers say ( I've seen worst movies, much much worst.Some action movies... ) , it's a comedy that have some nice moments (specially in the music numbers and some scenes)and some weak moments too. . Christine Baranski is brilliant in her role as a USA senator , she does a very good performance .
