Myron Clemons A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
Jenni Devyn Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
GUENOT PHILIPPE Since several years now, we can see in France a gangsters biopics "fashion". Watch for Mesrine, Spaggiari, Le Gang des Postiches, and next year watch out for LES LYONNAIS, directed by Olivier Marschall, starring Gérard Lanvin. This TV movie tells the story of a notorious king of the underworld during the 70's, 80's and 90's who was shot in 2000: Francis Vanderberghe, aka Francis Le Belge. The unusual thing to say about it, is that is told by his own daughter, with her own eyes, emotion and feelings. Not the way we often see the hoodlums. it's fairly acted, the characters are believable, even not very known. An effective programmer.
