jakob_aycock Ok I understand it's 2018 and this movie released in November of 2002, but I feel like I should still give my own personal review! Monsters Inc is Just one of many of Pixar's Library And just happens to be a big hit!! My own score of this masterpiece is 10/10, mainly for the Heartwarming relationship of Sully and Boo, the friendship of Mike and Sully, Humor, Visuals are insane for 2002, and the Soundtrack Is Really quite Good! In total conclusion Monsters Inc Will definitely be a film to remember for a long time to come!!
areatw 'Monsters, Inc.' is one of Pixar's best known and most widely popular movies - an endearing and highly likeable family movie bursting with ideas and imagination. Though not one of Pixar's best and not a personal favourite of mine, I did get a lot of enjoyment out of this movie, especially the characters, which are all brilliantly unique, entertaining and genuinely funny. The storyline, as enjoyable as it is, is not on the same level as the likes of 'Toy Story' and 'Up'. I always get the feeling I'm watching something special with those movies, but I think 'Monsters, Inc.', for all its creativity and likeability, lacks that special quality to put it up there with the very best animated pictures. That said, judging it on its own merits, this is a great animated family movie and one of those movies that is just impossible to dislike.
bobby-maddox Monster's Inc. is just pure brilliance. Not only is it my favorite animated film of all time, but now its one of my favoite 3D MOVIE ever. In my opinion the jokes are screamingly (no pun intended) funny, and the dialog is one of my favorite ever. I love every single character (Mike is my favorite), and all the voice acting is superb. The animation is fantastic and the cool twist on "the monster in the closet" is fun and very clever. One of my favorite scenes is when Mike and his girlfriend Celia are on a date at Harryhausens (a restaurant in Monstropolis) and Sully comes in with Boo and unintentionally crashes their date and Boo gets loose, it's hilarious havoc, and I love every minute, and of course every other scene in Monster's Inc. Like I said before, I love this movie, it's hilarious, creative, original, featuring awesome characters, this is a great film that everyone can enjoy. Also it was one of the first movies I ever saw, so it has a special effect on me, and always will.
TheBlueHairedLawyer Much of Disney's stuff is just too hokey and childish for its own good, but Monster's Inc. provides not only a sweet and sentimental story for viewers and some comic relief for children, but for adults this timely early 2000's story offers a chilling commentary on the corruption in modern corporate culture. The animation is flawless, the voice acting is superb, characters are alive right from their facial expressions to their unique monster appearances and the story itself opens the door for a lot of complexity. Benevolent ol' Mr. Waternoose might just be a common criminal, Randall is socially awkward beneath his evil workplace jerk exterior and Mike is more selfless than Sully gives him credit for. The charming scenery of Monstropolis is intricately detailed to boot. All in all this is a terrific film and probably one of the best of 2001.
