This is a 90 minute television movie from 2 years ago starring Anna Loos. I don't believe she is a particularly great actress, probably worse than her husband (Jan Josef Liefers) and I don't think he has that much talent either. This is probably still one of her better films, but most of this is also due to Markovics (Academy Award winner "Die Fälscher"), Mues and her makeup. Kroymann is also known, but she only plays a small role. However, this film is not written particularly well. A psychiatrist like Markovics' character would never be allowed to practice with how tough and relentless he is on Loos' character. And when she starts singing randomly in the middle of the movie, this film really hits rock-bottom. The common background between Loos' and Mues' characters is also not very inventive and just pretty generic. This has been done so many times already and it was obvious that he would be a suspect at some point in the film. Or her involvement in general. Realistically speaking, she probably would have had to give up on the case looking at how much everything centered around her. I also expected Markovics' character to die because of how annoying he was written, but in a 180° degree switch near the end he is all of a sudden a friend. By the way if you liked Markovics' portrayal, check out "Mahler auf der Couch". There are more writing weaknesses here. They remember exactly where Felix was on the boat although it's been decades. Or near the end when they solve the case pretty much out of nowhere, it is of course the very exact moment that Felix appears to Loos' character. So far, I haven't read about any plans for a sequel and maybe it is for the better. It's a disappointing result looking at how prolific and experienced both the writer and director have been in the past, also with crime and cop movies. I guess quantity does not mean quality in their cases. Not recommended.
