The Worst Film Ever

terrible... so disappointed.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

I watched this movie thinking it was going to be just about four friends setting a challenge for themselves to see who would come out on top, but in the end, they all did. Each took a different approach; one focused almost solely on earning money, another made lots of intimate contacts, one was a hippie/explorer and the fourth, took the slow and hard path in his quest. Through all their experiences, the true meaning of friendship shone like a ray of sunshine upon them and they realized what really mattered. I won't spoil events in the film by telling you what happened, however I'll say this..the resolution touched me and made me wish that I had friends as close and good as the four guys had in each other. Nothing is more important in life than a good friend!

This movie is an underrated classic and a must see for anyone who wants to know the true meaning of friendship. Its a simple enough story, 4 adult male friends compete to see who makes the most money, starting from nothing in a strange city (Salt Lake City). Each goes their separate ways: One jumps head first into the money game, doing the hard sell the best he can, another gives all his money away and works as a mountain bike guide, another works as a bar tender and chases women and the forth, and presumably most sensible has all his money stolen by some thugs and is forced to live off the kindness of the others. As the story unfolds this foursome learn a lot about themselves. We see, for example as the wild eyed anti-materialistic mountain bike guide actually has a more serious side and reasons why he is who he is. We see that the over-eager materialist is really more vulnerable than he seems, we see that the bartender is really weak and we finally see that the forth person is a lot stronger than he seems. This is really a "guy" movie, but one that is not offensive to women or anyone. Its about friends finding out what makes them human beings. Its a fun, inoffensive movie and one of the few movies I can watch over and over again.

MediocreThis is actually a film that could have benefited from being more formulaic. It was meant to be as the corny "true meaning of friendship" formula but before the message was even spoken I got a feeling of bad taste. Here is the problem. . . just as I expected, the wholly unlikable characters do get their just deserts. In fact, I was begging for the predictable ending and I got it. Daniel Baldwin is just another talentless Baldwin. The rest of the unknown actors didn't exactly scored with convincible acting either (excuse me, not as Baldwin #4 is really known). The writers and directors of this movie should be ashamed of themselves. Evidently, there is no other way to survive in town (literally what its about) but to sleep with the first woman who offers you a warm bed. The message is that women, if persuaded with the right line, are nothing but pure whor.s who are so insecure they would do anything to keep a man. Even the ones who find out they are about to sleep with a married man (innocent waitress at the restaurant, I bet the two kids without the father she had were the result of a fling with a married man). At the end we don't even find out what happens to all the slutty women in the movie. The director just treats them as the one, two night stands and drops them off as such. Shame! I am not a feminist by anyone's standards but that is one offensive message to all women. If that is why you want to come to the theater, I cannot discourage you. The plot is so predictable, the movie cannot possibly be enjoyable. I cannot recommend this film.

This movie had it all - a great premise, plot, character development, believability, solid dialogue, and a script that kept moving forward. Very little wasted scenes that did not keep the story moving. Great Acting, a solid directorial job, etc. Every scene interesting. Every character interesting. One heck of a movie. It is a pity that apparently no one saw this film has whoever was in charge of promotion either 1) was asleep, or 2) had not budget to work with. I dare say that this movie is better than 95% of all movies out there. Jeff
