Teddy Gloucester, one of the group of jazz age "nice people," is caught in a farmhouse during a storm with her intoxicated companion, Scotty. A stranger (Billy Wade) also seeking shelter saves her from Scotty's unwelcome attentions but not from the scandal which results from her father's discovery of her and Scotty--alone--the next morning. Hurt by the snubbing she receives from her friends, Teddy settles down and agrees to become an old-fashioned wife to Billy.

Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
ChicDragon It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
PamelaShort This 1922 comedy/romance was filmed by the Famous Players-Lasky Corporation, starring Wallace Reid, Bebe Daniels and Conrad Nagel, three very popular stars of the day. Sadly this film's whereabouts are listed as unknown and hopefully a copy survives and resurfaces, for now all I can offer the reader is a brief synopsis.Theodora (Teddy) Gloucester ( Bebe Daniels ) is known in the jazz age group as one of the " nice people." One night she and her companion Scotty White ( Conrad Nagel ) are stranded in a farmhouse, and she struggles to fight off his intoxicated advances. Meanwhile, Captain Billy Wade ( Wallace Reid ) has also been seeking shelter and enters the farmhouse , saving Teddy from Scotty's unwanted attentions. However, a scandal results for the girl when her father discovers her the next morning alone with Scotty. After being snubbed by her so called friends, Teddy settles down and agrees to become an old-fashioned wife to Billy.
