The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
Brennan Camacho
Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

More Ninja cut N' paste lunacy from Godfrey Ho, starring Godfrey Ho regular Stuart Smith and the delicious-sounding Kent Poon! Godfrey Ho films definitely fall into the love 'am or hate 'em category, I myself have always found them to be wildly amusing!More Ninja cut N' paste lunacy from Godfrey Ho, starring Ho regular Stuart Smith and the delicious-sounding Kent Poon! Godfrey Ho / Joseph Lai "films" definitely fall into the love 'am or hate 'em category, I myself have always found them to be wildly amusing! It's interesting to note that ALL the Caucasian actors hired for these gonzoid, opportunist works have absolutely no visible acting prowess or discernible charisma, which is why I find them so addictive; and it must be noted that Stuart Smith is unequivocally the ultimate no-talent performer and his understated martial arts technique is truly something to behold!

Fans of Z-grade cut and splice ninja movies rejoice! Here is an absolute classic! It stars that God of bad acting Stuart Smith (billed here as Stuart Steen) in probably his very best (worst) performance ever! Yes, I kid thee not! Just witness the extended lovemaking scene early on in this for proof
..ye Gods! Never, and I mean never has there been such a spectacularly awful such scene committed to film before or since! Smith's 'sexual' expressions are truly priceless and frankly defy description! What a man! No human alive can 'out bad' act Smith and this is precisely why we so love watching him in action. Not only the acting either, in this film he actually does most of his own martial arts to(!!!)
..well to say his martial arts skills rival his acting skills will probably tell you a lot.Other highlights here are too many to mention but include a scene in which Smith tortures a ninja by firstly whipping him, then holding a cigarette lighter to his gonads (!), followed by dunking him and finally performing acupuncture upon him to make the poor chap talk and also a hilarious scene at the end where Smith 'removes' the head evil ninjas 'ninjitsu' by placing his magic talisman upon his forehead!!!! Absolutely demented stuff and a classic of its insane kind! If like me, you're into hilariously inept films then this my friends is truly essential viewing! Your life will simply not be complete until you have viewed the genius that is Ninja In Action.

I had heard from someone that this is the absolute worst movie ever and when I saw it, it was pretty darn bad. But that's what makes a movie like this so entertaining. What do you expect from a cheesy 1980s B movie about ninjas? I would say it serves its purpose, but if we are talking overall film making, then this one fails miserably. It's hard to understand why movies like this get the budget but hell, it sure is entertaining. For all the wrong reasons. One main reason for it's failure, is whoever marketed it. The back reveals the actual ending and there is a short preview before the film starts that reveals the ending again. When first seeing this film I laughed and laughed and laughed because I thought it was such a waste. I only paid $3 Canadian for it, and it was still a waste of money. However, it is definitely the kind of movie that brings people together. For example: "Do you remember that God awful movie about ninjas?" "Yes, that was God awful, now let us never speak of it again."Watch it for yourself and see why it brings laughter and tears to your eyes, for the wrong reasons indeed.
