It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

I'm not surprised that THREE CROSSES NOT TO DIE has not accrued any reviews on this site thus far, because it's a particularly inept example of the spaghetti western genre. It was directed by journeyman director Sergio Garrone, who made the occasional item of interest - like DJANGO THE BASTARD - but generally made low budget, low skill productions like THE DOVE MUST NOT FLY and trash like SS EXPERIMENT LOVE CAMP.THREE CROSSES NOT TO DIE has an okayish story about a trio of gunfighters who meet an oppressed Mexican guy in prison and decide to help him battle a criminal gang. Plenty of action ensues, but none of it is very interesting and that's because of the cheap camera-work which basically spoils every moment. The film's triumvirate of heroes is played by genre mainstays Craig Hill, Giovanni Cianfriglia, and Franco Cobianchi, with Ida Galli in support as a feisty love interest. But the action is so poorly handled that I imagine most viewers will end up being frustrated by this one instead of entertained.
