GazerRise Fantastic!
ClassyWas Excellent, smart action film.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Nahum Figueroa I watched this movie because I had no other "horror" movie to watch; actually, because I had nothing else to watch.Let's get one thing straight - this movie will not scare you at all. It has the predictable cheap "jump scares" but they're cheap and not scary at all.Let's get another thing straight - this is sci-fi so of course the supernatural stuff does not make any sense at all. The story does not make sense. The ending does not make sense.I remember I fast-forwarded a few times here and there, but in general, I was kept interested most of the time to find out what the big "mystery" was. I personally didn't feel offended by the acting, like other reviewers did.My advice: if you're seeking to get scared, this is not for you. But if you're looking for a mystery supernatural movie about people dying and you having to wait until the end to sort-of find out why, then this one is for you. Watch it with an open-mind, fast-forward if you need to, and you might sort-of like this mystery film.6.0/10.0 seems appropriate in my opinion, especially since I already knew not to expect much. I'll now go check out the original Japanese version of it.
Gubby-Allen Run of the mill, low brow, cheap, part horror film eg pretty dreadful.Every cliché in the book is used up here, from the absolutely ridiculous choices made by the characters, going alone into dark and empty places, not asking for help, police officers not believing them, or being sent as back up anywhere, irritating music through loud bangs for suspense and the ending leaving it open for more.It kept me watching throughout and with a decent ending could have scraped into the 'OK' category but it did not and in end was the sort of amateurish, clichéd film you have seen 100 times before.3/10
jtungsten16 One Missed call is my favorite horror movie! I don't know why I'm reading any bad reviews about this movie. I think the acting, directing, writing and music in the film was superb. People really need to watch this movie and not listen to bad reviews because they will not be disappointed it entertains you from beginning to end and even has a twist. One Missed Call is definitely is a movie not to be missed. Ed Burns and Shannon have great chemistry and that was the only thing that disappointed me was that they never got together. One Missed Call is one of those horror movies that stick with you, especially because everyone has a cell phone and gets One Missed Call at least once everyday! So please people give One a Missed Call a chance I think you will be glad you did.
aquaknux I see bad reviews, everywhere. and i really don't know why. quick simple review here, im not a massive fan of horror movies. but my girlfriend is, she watches them all the time, and after seeing this movie (don't know even why i decided to put it on to watch it) i am actually happy i did. I am going to recommend it to her, as i am very excited to see what she rates it. the suspense was there, i got scared, and that ringtone freaked me out. seriously i was just waiting for my phone to call mid movie. luckily it didn't. look its no "ring", but hey, its worth a shot. i watched it at night, alone, pitch black room with surround sound. and yes i got scared, goosebumps at parts. good movie. not great but good.5.5 /10
