Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!

Too many fans seem to be blown away

Too much about the plot just didn't add up, the writing was bad, some of the scenes were cringey and awkward,
Sarita Rafferty
There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

Orientation Day is one of many Minions shorts and is certainly one of the better ones.It tells the story of 3 minions watching their orientation video and setting off for their very first assignment. Being that it's minions however things don't go to plan. The minions shorts have been hit and miss but most at least hold the Despicable Me charm and it's demonstrated here.Hardly groundbreaking and very much limited by its short runtime but still a lot of fun for what it is.The Good:Looks and sounds greatMinion charmThe Bad:Nothing reallyThings I Learnt From This Short:More companies need orientation videos like that!

"Orientation Day" is the third short film spin-off from "Despicable Me" and it also runs for briefly over 3 minutes. Just like in "Banana", this one is exclusively about the minions and the girls are not in here and neither is Gru. In this one, we basically see how a trio of new "Minions" are getting ready for their new life and job. They get to watch a training video, but this did not prepare them properly as quickly after rockets keep falling down from high places and explosions ensue. The future in the company will probably not look better for these new guys I am afraid if they already start like that. The other two Minions short films I was not too big on and this one is as forgettable as the other ones pretty much. Not recommended.

Orientation Day (2010)** (out of 4)One of the three minions shorts that were included as bonus features on the DESPICABLE ME release. This one here has three new minions being welcomed into the family but first they must watch an introduction video that shows what they'll be doing at Gru's company. Although this here runs just four-minutes, it's really not all that entertaining. There's not too many laughs to be found here and the story itself lacks the imagination that the other two shorts had. There are a couple nice smiles but that's pretty much it. The animation is good like you'd expect but there's just not much of a story here.

This short film is about three newly recruited minions attending an orientation day to work at a weapons laboratory. They did not pay attention to the video, hence they make mistakes that leads to disastrous results."Orientation Day" is only three and a half minutes long if you exclude the credits, but it manages to squeeze a lot in because of the quick paced plot. I think the orientation video is not as entertaining as it could be, but fortunately the second half of the film showing the minion working in the laboratory is way more entertaining. The second half shows how the minions are simple minded and have no consideration for the consequences of their actions, which is quite funny. I think this is the weakest short animation out of the three I watched.
